poor baby saw a movie that wasn't extensively crafted for only the tastes of men?
The one where they take a powerful female character who terrified people for decades, stripped her down to a weak shell, made her evil all about a man, and then took her most terrifying transformation and transferred it literally to a man? I remember chills when Maleficent recites her spells and strikes the ground with her staff. I remember the movie Maleficent being all about the men, ironically.

I think he means because of the heavy handed sex metaphor, obsessing over ones ex for decades, and the lack of any remotely competent character whose name is not the title of the movie.

Finally saw Gravity. I really enjoyed it, but not seeing it at least in a theater (3D might have really been worth it, too) makes me think I missed out on the full experience of this movie.

Big Hero 6: As great as everyone says and I wish it was getting the kind of support from Disney that Frozen has.

I predicted the twist, because villain twists seems to be Disney's thing lately, but I didn't predict the movie would go so dark immediately after the reveal.

Unfortunately I saw this on a high framerate TV. I look forward to seeing it again when it doesn't seem sped up.

Rio 2: ... I don't know why this exists. It had too many subplots and antagonists, and yet it was so bland and empty. I can't imagine the first Rio made much money, or that this one did either. So no artistic merit, small financial gain ... just why?

According to box office mojo, Rio made approximately 485 million worldwide on a 95 million dollar budget.

Rio 2 made 500 million on a 130 million dollar budget.

This is mostly because foreign audiences are less stingy when it comes to movies. Really, a lot of people in places like China are literally going because of the effects work because their domestic film producers can't come even close to the stuff Hollywood makes.

I'm really hoping Rio was a good movie and Rio 2 only made money because of the first one, because Rio 2 was so lackluster that there had to be something more interesting or enjoyable playing when it was out.

Rio was a little better than okay I'd say ALMOST good but not awful. Not something I'd buy the DVD for, but if its on I'd have it on as background TV or if its late at night and I ain't doin nothin.

Monty Python's the Meaning of Life, first Python movie I've ever seen, and now the first one I've seen in a theater! Still a damn good movie after all these stellar cycles.

Meaning of Life is great, but goes way deep into the absurdist side of their humor. Brian and Grail will feel much more normal, however they're all fantastic.

Good start, now get out there and watch Holy Grail and Life of Brian. You won't regret it.
I'm pretty sure he's seen those, he was just saying Meaning of Life was the first of them he had ever seen. We all know Yoshi plays fast and loose with things like tense.
