[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

I caught up on Brooklyn Nine Nine.
What do I do now?! Parks and Rec is over, Kimmy Schmidt is done for a season, Brooklyn Nine Nine is done for a season. I need my comedy.
Oh yeah! Community Season 6! I forgot. Phew, that was close.

Been watching No, YOU Shut Up! lately, Paul F. Tompkins hosts a panel show with Henson puppets as part of the Henson Alternative programming. It's surprisingly funny.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has three more coming starting at the end of April.

Steven Universe: Say Uncle

See this "Teen Titans GO!" ? THIS is how you respond to negative criticism! Not with passive aggressive Aqualad cameos.

Seriously though, a fun little episode, and Pearl's growing madness as reaction to UG's weirdness was just great.

The 100

Well, with a hurt back, I decided to dive into a show on Netflix. I would've kept trying to watch Arrow or Flash, but that would require going back to my computer to download more episodes and load them onto a flash drive. At least here, I could just go from episode to episode.

And it's...not bad. The acting and writing is your typical CW teen melodrama, but the sci-fi elements and story itself is surprisingly engaging. I find myself hitting next episode wanting to know what happens next.

And that was Archer season 6 and it...sure was television season. Now it wasn't bad, far from it, but while season the first five seasons had a bit more OOMPH to them. This season...felt fillery. Ah well, here's hoping season 7 will have more meat!

At least there was no OUTLAW COUNTRY

Been watching "Forever" lately. Apparently it's not exactly heading for a second season, which, to me, is a shame.
It's pretty formulaic in a lot of ways, similar to Castle/Mentalist/Sherlock with a bit of Bones thrown in. I guess, perhaps, it's a few years late to get much of a shot. Still, it's well-acted, it's got some nice twists on the old formula as well, and the combination with some supernatural themes works well so far. The cases are a bit easy for now, perhaps, but honestly, it's certainly no worse than early Castle (let alone the last season which was meh). And I love watching Ioan Gruffud act. There's some really nice supporting actors as well.
It's a shame it probably won't get a second season (given that the original story arc was meant for 3 seasons), though I can understand it. To me, though, it was quietely addictive. Certainly not ground breaking but actually pretty good in its genre.

I felt like this season of Archer was far closer to the feel of the earlier seasons. There were a few episodes that had me laughing to tears. There was a change in priorities with A.J. and the C.I.A., but the regular characters' interactions with those felt true to their established personalities. Although Krieger did go off the deep end a bit in the finale...

I'm sure Ray wishes this season didn't happen.

I had to see what the first episode of AD was all about.

This show tried really hard to make everyone of dubious morality in what was probably an attempt to not offend. The Romans were even sympathetic, portrayed as people who were just trying to keep the peace, and not completely convinced that killing Jesus was right. And of course everything was overdramatic.

Also, according to this miniseries, Jesus was hot.

i was reading this as Arrested Development

I love Carol Kane in UKS,

"Can I borrow a cup of flour.... there's a couple of white guys out here trying to score cocaine..."

Just finished off both Black Sails and Better Call Saul. Both had great season finales (though Better Call Saul's penultimate episode was definitely more bang). Black Sails really came into it's own this season and was super enjoyable. So much betrayal and twists and turns.

I have to make a call out to @Bubble181 , i too have been enjoying forever even though i find it a real rehash mix of sherlock holmes, the highlander, and *insert random crime drama here*. Very by the formula show, but worth catching on hulu.

I just binge watched the first season of game of thrones . Fitting, since i just binged all the books over the last few weeks at work. I wont put to much here since we have a whole thread for that show but i feel it is well done and really is a nice take on the story

Holy shit Black Sails was good this season. Great reveals and great setups, been enjoying it way more than I thought I would. Also, 12 Monkeys on SyFy has been surprisingly good. Final episode of the season airs next week but it's been a great time travel tale.
