If the Random thread is any indication, it always seems like HCGLNS is going off his prescriptions.

Utah weather makes me cry. It was 70 degrees yesterday, but then within a few hours it dropped to 28 and now there's an inch of snow. WHY...

And I was all ready to go lay out in my swimsuit and work on my sun tan tattoo! :(
from Reddit, via Imgur - Utah, yesterday and today.

Work is jerking around with our insurance. We have a baby on the way, and were quoted ~2500 for all of the expenses. Now, it's going to be >5k. Bastards. Then, when we all got together to complain, they had the gall to tell us that we are lucky to have insurance since postdocs are temporary employees. I wanted to say, "You're lucky that we won't Robespierre your ass."

Honestly the snow is already gone because it's been rain since last night, but it might turn back to snow tonight.

Also, I always expect it to snow at any random time. Or at the very least, hail. We get some pretty epic summer hail.

lol, we're a good 1.5/two hour drive to the mountains here. (Which really, is not a long drive for this state)

Now that we dumped enough money on ski lessons to get our kids to intermediate level skiing, we have season passes for next year. [emoji14]

I feel like my husband would be opposed to any wife swapping. ;)

However, Keltzy lives in Jersey, I know what East Coast skiing is like. I feel bad for them. (Note, I can only ski out here when everything is groomed and/or icy, I am terrified of powder skiing still :( )

What, is there some kind of "husband of a redhead exchange student program" I never knew to take advantage of?!
Oddly enough, Mr. Z said you could be my Halforums concubine last night.

No swap necessary. You can keep him. ;)

Actually, the past few winters have given us some pretty good conditions, although we only 'board in upstate NY or Vermont. I don't think we've driven less than 1 1/2 for a day trip.

So it's settled, then. Mr. Z moves in with Dei, I move in with you.

Oh wait, you live in New Jersey... Hrhm.

We might need to revisit this arrangement. You ever been to rural Texas?

But then who keeps the kid?! Is he potty trained yet? I don't know if I can handle the potty training again.:heart:

Everyone can just move here. Problem solved! Of course, good luck finding a house these days, there isn't much, and everything is a bidding war. (I don't know wtf happened, but it's insanity)

I think I'm going to keep the kid. He is almost potty trained right now, so I'd like to hang onto my investment. Mr. Z can visit when he likes. ;)
Yes, briefly. You couldn't pay me to live there.

There may be a solution here that makes everybody happy. My folks have a giant 6 bedroom house in Colorado Springs that is largely empty. Good, close access to skiing, everybody's right there where everybody's kids are... We can start a Halforums commune!
