that it would have been less appropriate to have her double being raped.
But her double was Sansa's age...

Jay, if you need this explained to you, I feel sorry for your wife. You don't need a dick to join in. I'm just saying.
When you live together, that's the same as not being allowed to watch.I'm still allowed to watch, she just won't watch it with me.
This is what I keep hearing from people, that they're losing interest, and I really think that's why HBO thought killing Selmy and raping Sansa would spark interest and hold onto viewers. She was already not enthusiastic this season
I wouldn't call the bath scene gratuitous at all. Quite the opposite, nothing was shown. Everything was tastefully framed. It allowed Sansa to show her strength in a position where she was literally most exposed.I don't really get how some people use words, like the politician that called Sansa's rape gratuitous. It was the only logical place the story could have gone. Hand a virgin over to a rape monster...
The gratuitous part was the bath scene. Those two could have had that conversation over any other activity.
Who's the guy around here with Jarate in his signature, I forget... the part where it talks about Jarate's true power being making you realize that you live in a horrible world where terrible things happen all the time for no reason and dignity doesn't exist...It's a crapsack world after all
I hide all sigs.Who's the guy around here with Jarate in his signature, I forget... the part where it talks about Jarate's true power being making you realize that you live in a horrible world where terrible things happen all the time for no reason and dignity doesn't exist...
Pretty sure that's @AshburnerX 's sig.Who's the guy around here with Jarate in his signature, I forget... the part where it talks about Jarate's true power being making you realize that you live in a horrible world where terrible things happen all the time for no reason and dignity doesn't exist...
Yep.
That's kinda my interpretation as well.I'm late to the party, but could someone remind me what the difference between the season 1 "consummation" between Khal Drogo and Denyaris is and what happened here in season 6 here?
Girl married against her will? Check
Girl raped and crying? Check
Is it that Khal Drogo comes to realize the err of his rapey ways and is a stud muffin, while ol' Ramsay is an ugly, troll man with obviously no intent on changing?
Hell, they were still watching after Season one Drogo and Dany? I mean, really, that was practically the same situation, shown much more explicitly... only difference was Jason Momoa is hunkilicious I guess.
It's the exact same difference between the girl you've gone on one date with sleeping with another guy and the girl you've been in a relationship for 5 years sleeping with another guy.I'm late to the party, but could someone remind me what the difference between the season 1 "consummation" between Khal Drogo and Denyaris is and what happened here in season 6 here?

I stopped watching two episodes ago. Came in here to see what stupid bullshit the now hacky writers decided to try out this week. Still seems I made the right decision.Ok, the ending of that episode allowed a lot of stupid shit to go through undiscussed, like the God awful Loras and Margaery getting inquisitioned scene. That shit is the flimsiest evidence for a trial I've ever been forced to swallow.
Am I not alone in thinking this season kind of sucks?
Except that what Lancel knows would get her executed...but I think this way works better for her.
Yeah, exactly... there'd be no reason for it if he talked...Butin the books Cersei is still awaiting trial, the walk of shame was just the price to not do so while in a cell, so there is still time for Lancel to confess this stuff there as well.
Yeah, this is completely fair.I stopped watching two episodes ago. Came in here to see what stupid bullshit the now hacky writers decided to try out this week. Still seems I made the right decision.
Unbelievable what they have done to this show.
I'd come back for Ian McShane.@Jay's worst nightmare, the casting sheet for the next season of Game of Thrones is available and it looks to be full of Greyjoys.

The second part listed is obviously Randyll Tarly. AND IT BETTER GOD DAMN GET FILLED WITH IAN MCHANE.
