[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

You guys probably didn't like Skyler White either, did you?

Peggy Hill was awesome. Having her character be the unhinged, scheming, unstraight-laced part of the family couple and throwing out the general trope of stuffy wife and obnoxious, keerazy husband that's been a part of nearly every sitcom since the dawn of fucking TV is fantastic.
To be fair, nobody but Walt Jr is likeable in that show by the end of it.

This always bugs me, and it's something I'm going through right now as I rewatch the show while it's my wife's first time. Almost everything that happens with Skylar, my wife is like "what is wrong with you" or "that bitch" or something like that. I just keep my mouth shut and wait for the turning point where she realizes Walt is not the guy you meet in season 1, but has already become a monster.

Twin Peaks is done, and now I feel sad. I hope the continuation does happen, and that it doesn't suck.

I'm conflicted on whether I should watch the prequel-sequel movie.

I didn't really like Skylar, but not because she wasn't right. I just found her actor annoying more than anything else.

I like Hulu's Deadbeat. It's silly but fun. I noticed, though, that most of the guest roles, living and dead, were played by the same actors episode to episode, and I was wondering why. So I asked Tyler Labine directly (don't you love Twitter?) if there was some deeper meaning to it. He didn't answer, but he favorited my tweet. I wonder if that means there's something in-universe to it that he can't say.

Adventure Time

WOW- this was a heavy ep, ONE- we learn that Cosmic Owl being in a dream simply makes it happen, BUT it is the dream that decides that happens. Interestin'. ALSO- I knew Gunter was evil, but devious?! Damn. Also...poor PB? I think that's what caused the scary cube dystopian Gumball Guardian to appear. Shits going down.

Ultimate Spider-Man.

Nope. Couldn't even make it through the first episode.

Hulk and the Agents of SMASH

Nope. Couldn't even make it through the first episode. And bonus points for busting she hulk down from attorney to stunt person. Can't have our female heroes too smart can we?

This bothered me, too. The only thing I can come up with is they can't write someone smarter than themselves.

And now you can safely avoid Avengers Assemble as well as that is utter garbage too. Go watch Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes again... it will get the bad taste out of your mouth.

Grimm!

:aaah:

I know I say that every week but it applies.

And unfortunately the season is over so no more episodes until the fall. Boo

Seriously. That one was intense enough, and then the last five minutes of the episode.... :aaah:
I was afraid they were going to leave the resolution of that situation as a cliffhanger, because that's more their style >_< but they delivered.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I want to kill Madelyn Wunch. Bitch is cruel.

Bob's Burgers
First ep was a sweet Louise and Bob ep, and the latter was a good Fischoeder ep and a good soft season finale.

The finale of Buffy aired 12 years ago today. It's so weird it's been that long....

I've really been enjoying my re-watch of it, though. So much of it holds up to me and I'll never get over Once More With Feeling. :D
If you get the chance to go to Dragon*Con they do a Rocky Horror-esque live show of OMWF. Used to be they'd do that and Doctor Horrible, but I think now it's one or the other every year.

My wife is rewatching Buffy and Angel, but with our almost 13 year old daughter who hasn't seen it since she was tiny and in diapers. It's fun to hear them talk about it.
That's cool that you guys could do that.. I wish I could get my soon to be 13-year-old cousins into it.

I don't know how I feel about The Cleveland Show. It's not bad, but there's nothing special about it. I can see why it didn't get to keep going like American Dad.

I'm a bit disappointed that everyone EXCEPT Donna has basically vanished with the transition back to Family Guy. Cleveland Jr. would have been the perfect best friend for Chris OR Meg and probably deserves to show up more often on Family Guy.

Yeah, though Jr. sort of just appeared before the spin-off, too. He used to be a tiny, hyperactive kid but then suddenly he's this insanely obese, dumb nerd.
