Need to head over to a certain alley in Northgate in College Station with a backhoe, we'll be zillionaires.

People have been throwing em in that alley for DECADES.
You know this is the first place I think of every time I play Fallout.

I miss Dudley's. No. That's not true. That place is a hole. I miss all the old times with friends. And the massive amount of beer I drank there. We knew one of the bartenders and she slipped us free beer all the time.

Hell yeah. I got carried out of Shadow Canyon one night, managed to puke 3 times before they got me out the door. Never showed my face in THERE again.

Don't look at me that way, it was dollar Texas Tea night.

For those of the rest of you who don't know what that is, it's a Long Island Iced Tea, but with everclear instead of vodka.

Ok, how many of you need an episode of hoarders for your bottle caps?
My bottle cap collection is nothing compared to my pull tabs... but I actually save those because the hospital gives out free time on the dialysis machine to needy patients in exchange for them. I usually drop them off once a year.

So, in a recent interview WoW devs confirm the current patch (6.2) contains the final raid of Warlords of Draenor. Now, to be fair, I stopped right before patch 6.1 so I don't know what all came along with 6.2 outside of a new level 100 zone and the raid, but holy crap if I was still playing/paying I'd be really pissed off right now. 6.1 contained nothing worth calling it a "big patch" and unlike every other x.1 and beyond, didn't even have a title/storyline. WoD was a $50 xpac, which I think is the most expensive one's ever been, and definitely more money than content introduced overall.

This game was released in early November of last year, if I remember correctly, after leaving people with nearly a year of content drought due to pushbacks. I really hope the game continues to bleed subs, because Blizz shouldn't be allowed to continue treating players as they have with WoD.

WoD is the fastest I've dipped into and back out of WoW ever, eclipsing my Pandaria pullout by over a month.
Yeah I made it to the first "content" patch and realized it just wasn't a game for me anymore. I'm having more fun with FFXIV than I've had with WoW since Wrath.

Yeah... I kind of can't wait for WoW to die, if only because it will allow other games to stand on their own. Then again, we might just see a mass migration to another game instead.

Generally when WoW starts hemorrhaging like this people just move to another game. WildStar will likely steal some of those folks when its f2p starts up, and I'm sure some came to FFXIV with the xpac dropping last month.

Everyone wanted to call every other MMO the WoW-killer, but that's always been wrong. The only thing that's going to finally kill WoW is Blizzard themselves.

Game came out on the 3DS eshop yesterday, Mercenaries Saga 2. From what I've gathered, it's pretty much Final Fantasy Tactics. I'm planning to do more research into just how true that is before I purchase (tired of getting burned on crappy downloadable games), but it's only $5 and word of mouth gives it a good review. Will have to look into it deeper.

This game is looking pretty solid.
I like the part where they built it and then ran it.
DMing it looks A LOT OF FUN.
Shame it's not turn based though.

Monster Hunter X--hopefully Capcom is bringing this overseas, because it looks fantastic. Gameplay even more dynamic than Monster Hunter 4, monsters being drawn from various entries in the series past, and then some really new weird shit that I can't wait to hunt, skin, and turn into clothing.

...but can you play as a pig?

Porn star says gamers are ‘freaks in the sack’ as study links violent video games and sex drive

A study found a correlation between playing violent videogames and desiring sex.

Also, they have quotes from a porn star named Lucie Bee

she strongly believes gamer guys are “absolute freaks in the sack” in the most considerate way possible.
“They do their research,” she said.
“Much like they want to be good at gaming, they want to be good in other areas of their lives.
“If you want to find a good sexual partner, find a geek.”

It stands to reason that competitive behavior will boost testosterone production, the same way that watching sports or viewing pornography does.
Note: I did not read the study, it just seems like it would logically follow.

YMMV on that "does their research" part. I've had some geek partners that were terrible, I've had some jock-ish types that were clearly into my satisfaction over their own, and vice versa. I think it comes down to individual personality rather than hobbies.

I think that was actually the point in a PVP comic story arc, wasn't it? Didn't Francis start a "date-a-nerd" service based on the assumption that nerds are more sensitive, attentive boyfriends, and it all blew up in his face when it turned out there are just as many self-centered jerks among the nerds as the general populace?
