[Movies] Talk about the last movie you saw 2: Electric Threadaloo

Remember how mad I was at Jurassic World? I wasn't that mad at Terminator Genysysysyst. However, I would rather watch Jurassic World 1200 times over than ever watch Terminator Cyst ever again.

It's the most bafflingly stupid movie I've ever watched. Perplexingly stupid. NEEDLESSLY stupid.

Also, it's bombing giga-hard.

FUCKING GOOD.

Good on Arnie on getting back into some semblance of shape. It's completely medically assisted, but no one expected him to be in that kind of shape.

Is it Terminator Salvation bad, or has it gone all the way to Terminator 3 bad?

It's dumber than both, but kind of more watchable in a brain-bendingly terrible way.

Oh yeah, Emilia Clarke is a fucking shit replacement for Linda Hamilton, like complete shit and the other guy who's name I can't remember wasn't in the movie because he's that much of a charisma-vacuum. Emilia Clarke might actually not have been shit, he's just that much of a personality black hole that he turned her into shit.

HA HA, just kidding, she was God awful.

Planet of the Apes guy, God awful. Dr. Who, the fucking worst.

Also, go fuck yourself James Cameron for promoting this film as if it's worthy of anything you made you piece of shit sellout.

Arnold is 67 fucking years old. He is officially at the point where he can let his body go soft because it will NEVER be what it was even 5 years ago.

He was in nutty beefy shape in this movie. Like WAY beyond when he was governor.

Also, he was the best part of the movie, by 10000 miles.

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

Loved the original back in the day, but never saw the sequel until now. Not as good as the first, but still a lot of stupid fun. It was one of those movies it seemed like the actors and crew enjoyed making. Death was the best part.[DOUBLEPOST=1436275429,1436275325][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, the general reviews I'm seeing around the web for Terminator are all kind of the same: "This movie was dumb, and by all rights I should hate it, but for some reason I kind of dug it."

I always give Bill and Ted a passing grade because it simply possesses this... boundless optimism about a future where all of mankind's issues have been solved thanks to love of music and a philosophy that is both incredibly simplistic and universal. It's incredibly dumb at times, but the music is good and it's message worth noticing.

I like Roshomon for its visual aesthetic and story structure, but for some reason, I can not watch that whole movie in one sitting.
I had to take a break with Seven Samurai. That thing is like 3.5 hrs long! I didn't have a problem with Roshomon though. When I watch one of his movies, I am constantly seeing where others have mimicked his work. His influence is undeniable.

I've...never seen either of the Bill & Ted movies. *shame!* :(
I saw the first one in the theater. I was on a first date with this girl and neither of us knew anything about it. So when it opened with them in the garage sounding like shit we kinda looked at each other. I remember her whispering, "You want to stay or go?" I said, "Let's give it a chance." and we ended up both loving the movie. But we almost walked. I think Carlin at the beginning is the only thing that got me to stay.

Watched Run All Night. Pretty much your average Liam Neeson action flick, but with the added joy of Ed Harris. If you liked Taken/Taken 2/etc you'll probably like this, too.

I don't understand why people need explaining why I've never seen the Bill & Ted movies. I've never seen them. What's to explain?
No one asked for an explanation, they said you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching them. Which you are, because they're great.

Just watched it last night. You missed that it sort of has Vincent Philip D'Onofrio as well. It also has Bruce McGill, a guy whose name you don't know but that you'd recognize.

Not a great movie, but not a bad one either.

I was partially being facetious, but seeing as how we're only a year apart in age, it seems like everyone I know in my age group has seen the 1st Bill & Ted at least once, I was wondering how you avoided seeing it. It was shown in classrooms and all over TV for quite some time.

To be fair McGill's part in the story is basically "stand near Ed Harris and let his kid yell at you." But yeah, D'Onofrio was great as always.
