And the fine hats that my husband wears?
But yeah...god I hope people vote today. And vote intelligently.

What? Dammit, I was planning on declining my ballot too.Voted. Apparently declining your ballot isn't a thing anymore, so I held my nose and voted for what I thought was least objectionable.
I need a shower. With acid. And Bleach. And whatever else. I feel dirty. They're ALL either crooks, or outright reckless/idiots.
But then you miss the chance to repeatedly write in a 100-year old ex-Congressman who's a more honorable man than anyone actually running for those offices. Here in America, we call "Declining your ballot" just not showing up.
They looked it up in front of me, and showed me the parts of the instructions about what can happen to a ballot, and it's just not there. If somebody objects to the process, leaves it blank, or any other objection, it is now recorded as a spoiled ballot. What? Dammit, I was planning on declining my ballot too.
Wait, the Liberals are for the TPP, too? Fuck that. I'm glad I voted NDP now. Both the Conservatives and the Liberals are gung-ho about the TPP and they both backed C-51. That left me with one choice.
I voted for an independent.
Usually we only get one or the other, not both. But yeah...god I hope people vote today. And vote intelligently.
Yes, but did you actually vote during that time?Voted! New record, from parking the car to starting the car, 2 minutes 51 seconds.
That was said in the last election too. There's no 'solidifying' the left. Every campaign since he got in, it's been "Dump Steve!" Maybe it'll happen this year, but at best I think we'll just get a minority Conservative government. And people will point to polls saying "But the poll said X% Liberal!" forgetting that the polls talked about votes nationwide, and not in particular ridings - which don't appear to be swinging as much as people want them to be. I think Quebec is the real key factor this time around - we'll see if the orange crush continues or get replaces with Coke.I feel like if there's another Conservative victory, majority or no, it will solidify the left in the next election. So, long-term, maybe the left should be pro-Harper for this election
Since from all reports, the Liberals are winning, my hope right now is the NDP wins a minority. Since the two parties share a lot of the same values, I think some real change could happen that way.At least it's a guarantee that whoever ends up PM will do so with a minority, which is best for all of us right now I think.
Well for Megan Leslie and Peter Stoffer, it's hugely unexpected.Well, so far, of the 33 seats that have been elected, they've all gone Liberal. That's a heckuva head start, but not all that surprising.
That number just went to 34.
