One Life

A survival FPS ala Day Z and other games. Except in this game, if you die? You are locked out the game forever.

And they plan to sell it for $10.

I don't see how anyone would think this is a good idea.
It's an interesting experiment.

Makes people actually value their lives instead of YOLOROFFLING their way into things, and cuts down on naked noobgriefing.

Reminds me of how Something Awful's forums used to ban people for the slightest/random thing, but you could get your ban reversed for 10 bucks. Hence the short lived "hope you got 10 bux" meme from ten or 12 years ago.

Not to imply I actually think it will be a financial success.

Atlus keeps hitting tiny YouTube channels over copyright infringement

Yet another example of the Japanese just not fucking getting YouTube, or the internet in general. These tiny YouTube channels? That's free marketing. It's people showing off your product for you. And instead of encouraging them, or at least letting them do their thing, you're kicking the little people right in the dick.
Is it Atlus themselves, or parent company Sega?

Either way, it's stupid. Atlus is a tiny, niche RPG developer/distributor. They need all the free marketing they can get.

Overwatch is too much fun. It's been awhile since a game really made me lose track of time and last night I had to tab out to notice it was 1AM. Can't wait to play more tonight.

I learned one thing though, I am so rusty with FPS games I am downright embarrassing with any of the offensive characters. I do pretty well with defense or support though, with my best character seeming to be Torbjorn. I kind of dig how the UI works. At the start of a match you get to see everyone picking characters, and it actually gives you "tips" on what character to grab, like if everyone picks support characters it will list "Low Damage, No Sniper, No Defense" trying to help you round out the group. When the match ends up does a instant reply of the "Play of the Match" where one character pulled off a crazy move. I even got one of those once when I was hammer dancing around my turret with Torbjorn while utilizing my Molten Core ultimate, killed three people while soaking up tons of damage and keeping my turret alive. Then after that it shows the top 4 players and lets you click to commend them for their great play, before shuffling the players and starting a new match.

I'm happy for you but I also now hate you.

Didn't you get into the HotS beta way before me, too? What's your secret? Doesn't blizzard know how much money I waste on their stuff?!
Well duh. They know you are a sure thing, so why should they need to toss you a bone? They already own you.

No, but I win the "better life choices" contest.
I would find that debatable. Not to toot my own horn but I have a pretty good life. Own my own home, have a beautiful wife of 12 years, a job that respects me, an energetic 3 year old son, and a new kid on the way. Outside of my regular life I also animate as a hobby and have thousands of followers and a website that gets half a million visitors a month. You may have made better choices in some areas, but I am 100% happy with my life, so I consider that hitting all the right choices. ;)

Arkham Knight is available on Steam again.

Here's a quote:

We asked Digital Foundry to take a quick look at the game as it stands - the results suggest that Batman: Arkham Knight today has seen no further improvements from its interim patch back in September.

The only noticeable changes were the addition of support for add-on and season pass content.

The September patch did at least drastically improve performance. It went from a slideshow on my machine at medium settings to 60fps on max settings, and all those improved rain effects that were strangely absent were finally put back in.

It won't be the massive scale that CCP had envisioned, and even they couldn't get to work. So I don't have much hope for it.
CCP's issue wasn't that they couldn't get it to work... it's that Eve's last few expansions had sold for shit and they couldn't keep Eve going if they were spending this cash on World of Darkness. They were fully prepared to keep going with Vampire if money issues hadn't shown up. But once they shutdown the Vampire project, there wasn't any reason to keep the Atlanta studio going so it closed up too.

Man, the uproar that's been going on over Nintendo choosing to remove skimpy outfits from underage characters in localization is fucking bananas. First Fatal Frame and now with Xenoblade Chronicles. This is not a hill to die on (100% all male) guys.

Left is Europe/NA, right is Japan.

Character is 13.

I will say that, even for a 13 year old, the one on the left's legs are too short. The one on the right's might be a smidge too long though, as well.

Left is still pretty skimpy, imo. I mean, fairly realistic-ish, or whatever, but ok. The right is....errr....I thought you couldn't make a character wear less clothes than Jack in Mass Effect but apparently I was wrong. That's a costume fit for a stripper, not much else. I don't need it on a 13-year-old.

For people with a longer torso/shorter legs, she's about right. I think the problem is her arms are too long. Her finger tips shouldn't be that far below the hips.

You might be right, yeah. But we're on the same page - the proportions are off.
