Her proportions are those of a younger girl, certainly compared to the right (which doesn't have a childish physique at all - that's the build of an older teen)...but when standing up I can touch my knees, so...Even shorter arms? Really? :p

You can touch your knees standing up straight?...

Yes. I admit, I have unusually long (as in, I have *almost* the same length-to-arm-width ratio as Michael Phelps) arms; I'd be a good swimmer if it wasn't for the whole "sink like a stone" thing.
Shit, Bub, boxers would kill for that kind of reach.

I have to go back to my figure drawing text books, but yes, when standing upright, arms at your side, your fingertips should only reach slightly below the hip bones/upper 1/4-1/3 of your thigh. There's an exact measurement, but I'm too lazy to walk into the other room to check.

I can't remember his name, but the artist who used to draw Punch n' Pie and, another webcomic which I forget the name, would always draw arms too damn long and it would drive me up the wall.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same position. Even Phleps, with his long torso, still has his fingers at the top 1/4-1/3 of his thigh.

Anyway, Phelps' length and wingspan are 191 cm (6'4") and 203 cm (6'7") (those numbers don't match up exactly, I know - they're from different sources -_-). I'm 188 cm (6'3") and my wingspan's just shy of 200 cm (6'6")...so practically the same fraction. Except that my chest, stomach, neck, arms, legs, back and so on don't really look anything like his, sadly :p

You have nearly the same measurements as I do and my arms don't stretch to my knees.[DOUBLEPOST=1446251783,1446251187][/DOUBLEPOST]So, I've been waiting for the bloody Xbox One wireless adapter for PC for seemingly forever. Find out that it's been out for a week, oh, and it only supports Windows 10. Get fucked Microsoft.

So, at the end of last week's patch video, Space Engineers put in a teaser of a future feature because Halloween.

Sabroids.

The community is divided about whether killer space alien bugs are a good thing or a bad thing.

To me, it's all moot, because everything I read says Space Engineers is still a buggy, broken mess in which multiplayer is still completely neglected.

Leaks from review copies of Fallout 4 are coming out. You can find gameplay videos if you search a bit, though they're getting taken down on Youtube pretty quickly.

Long story short, they're saying if you liked Fallout 3 you'll probably like Fallout 4, though the dialog system has been massively nerfed, and sometimes the prompt you see on screen doesn't match what your character says. Apart from that though, it's pretty good.

A) Even less talkie and even more shootie? Good lord, don't claim you're making an RPG anymore, just fucking release a shooter and be done with it.
B) A dialog wheel that doesn't completely match what you actually say? Because Mass Effect was generally loved and held up as an example on how to do conversations?

Blegh.

I should emphasize, though, that the dialog system has been the only thing that's been really reviled so far. Everything else is generally seen as pretty good.

I'm sorry, I base my entire mood and opinion on a topic on the first 3 sentences I read or see on line about it. This has always pointed me right. Therefor, FO4 is now officially ruined for me, I'll hate it and everything that has to do with it. No backsies.

(unless you can have an owl-companion perch on your shoulder. But I doubt it.)

There's a mod for that.

Well, there *will* be. Just you wait!

Depending on how much the dialogue skills have been nerfed, this could really screw up how my wife plays her characters.

Not me, though. I'm more the set them up the bomb first, ask questions later kind of wasteland wanderer.

Not surprising, Fallout 3 already departed so hard from the older Fallout's combat is not necessary themes. Bethesda's writing is so vanilla on top of that that they probably can't be bothered to try to write actual dialog. They're better at adding tons of useless junk to the world to toss around.

At least the Fallout 4 EULA stipulates that mods must be free. I think Bethesda took the backlash to heart after Skyrim...

Really though... I'm not ENTIRELY opposed to mod makers being able to get paid for their work. But when it's core functionality stuff (like SkyUI was) or unofficial patches to fix serious issues (like the fan patches), I feel like the game company should be paying them to incorporate said mods to fix their broken game, not forcing us to pay for it like fucking dlc.

I think the big problem with SkyUI going pay was because it had been free for so long. If it had been pay from the start, people would have felt differently.

True, but if it had been payed from the start, it wouldn't have become the success it was and no one would care ether. The only reason it was successful was because it was a FREE mod.

That, and they had been advertising the upcoming release of a new, improved version, and it was only right at the release that they announced that it would be behind a paywall, while becoming clear that they had always been waiting for the pay system before releasing it.

Hyping something up that everyone assumes will be free, because it had always been free, and then announcing the paywall last minute just lost a lot of the good will the community had before then. And that's pretty much true for all the mods. More transparency would have made that pill much easier to swallow.
