[Movies] The Upcoming Movies Trailer Thread

Damn, I thought Young Justice was confusing. Cyborg and Starfire seem the right age, but Beast-boy and Raven look WICKED young, more noticable in Beast Boy. It kinda feels like a hybrid of a lot DC elements, clashing together into something that looks really bad ass.

But hey, at least Beast Boy isn't fucking Red which makes sense seeing as his powers were based on his fucking imagination and not the magical power source that Animal Man used to Super Evolve, so it looks good in that regard at least.
I really don't like Damion Wayne's voice in that.

Wait so in your post you simultaneously make fun of me for being old and then AGREE with me?
Hey, I'm getting up there, too.

(Also, the south park joke was kindergartners calling 4th graders "grandpa," because they didn't see the appeal of watching pewdiepie play a game as opposed to just playing the game themselves)

I kind of hope Dolph Lundgren shows up if they do a sequel to Creed, especially considering what the Soviet Union used to do with it's failed athletes.

There seems to be a lot of backlash for this - on this board included, but I for one am absolutely excited for this. The trailer does for me what it's supposed to, I think - make me excited for the movie and makes me want to know more about it. I'm hoping for some killer practical effects that blend seamlessly with cgi stuff.

I expect a good action movie with a surface level story and I couldn't be more excited. I don't think it will do well, but that doesn't lessen my curiosity any. =^^=

I want TotalBiscuit to review it and complain about the framerate.

It'll be the original movie's 40th anniversary (1997-2017), but that's nowhere near the copyright expiration date.

They announced it in 2013, and did a 2012 bluray re-release, which had modest sales, reaching 15th and 20th on two different sales charts.

The age of those who watched it in their youth should be approaching grandparent stage, but aren't quite there yet.

All in all, it was probably the decent bluray sales a year before announcing the remake, and probably a good story pitch that sent this one through. The fact that we have a pretty decent fantasy movie market right now doesn't hurt either.

I'd rather have another Tron, though...[DOUBLEPOST=1456154196,1456154155][/DOUBLEPOST]http://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Petes-Dragon#tab=video-sales

Blame Marvel and Lucasfilm. Last I heard the third movie was canceled because Disney felt they had enough boy properties now.
It was actually the failure of Tomorrowland that cinched it. It cost them 180 million to make, and only made about 210 million in tickets... so while it TECHNICALLY made money, Disney was concerned about doing another CGI heavy film so soon after Tomorrowland.

And it was fantastic, with a nice hint of a possible series, that won't happen now.
I've seen the first, but still haven't seen the second (nor Tomorrowland, for that matter).
I agree that it's a franchise that would benefit from additional modern attention.

I found Legacy to be about as fun as the original Tron, with a lot of the same problems. I don't really consider them to be great movies, but entertaining and worth watching at least once.

When I watched the original Tron, I could see the movie they were trying to make, and I would've enjoyed that movie very much.
We'll see (someday) if the second one holds the same meaning for me.

I enjoyed both Trons greatly. I still enjoy the original. Really liked the new one. When people were negative about it, I thought, "Come on! This is fun! This world is awesome!"
