This is what it looked like in normal light/spectrum.
We had a high surf warning for north facing shores today. Some places saw 35 ft (10.6 m) waves! I headed up there to get some pictures.

This was a big enough story to be on the Today show this morning.
I take a lot of pictures of coconuts on the beach. I even name them.
These are the three I found washed up on the beach yesterday.
I can see a photo series:
"Coconut, I'll call him Freddy"
"Coconut, this one will be Murray"
"Waterlogged human head. Let's call him 'Pierce.'"
"Coconut, this one is Frances."

That's the spirit! I tried bringing one home, but it was full of bugs. Umm...coconut, not a human head.
@WasabiPoptart , I look at your photos and all I can think of is this: 
See Paige hugging her coconut in the third panel? That's me. LOL!
I found one on the beach in our second year here and decided to name it just to be silly (it made it home with us until I found the bugs crawling all over it). Now it's a thing. Coconuts are my lost beach friends. I find them and I name them and they sit on the beach towel with me until we go home.
We're under a tornado watch, thunderstorm warning and flash flood warning.
But all my son can do is talk about the double rainbow outside, even if it's faint. heh
