The trailer doesn't really pull me in, but it's Marvel and they've given me enough good movies that it's worth giving a chance.
Not sure why Marvel is making a prequel to Dr. Strangelove, nor how this leads to him being a Nazi in a wheelchair, but I'm willing to watch it to find out.
The reason seems obvious -- it was some sort of corruption of his precious bodily fluids.

Tumblr's already gone down this road. They're having a fit because non-Asians are cast in "Asian" roles, so therefore Marvel is racist. The other side of that coin is casting an Asian in those roles, and getting the film banned in China.
And of course the kids all jump on the "fuck white people" tone of the thread. That's why no one like you, tumblr.

Technically, neither of his uses were in the pejorative sense, they were simple nominative - it was specifically talking about tumblr.
As in he said "This is what happens at tumblr"
not "Oh don't go all tumblr on me."
Which would still be hilarious and instantly convey the intended message accurately, incidentally.
also, for the record, i haven't weighed in on the Dr Strange stuff since i honestly know nothing about the character/series
All the reviews have been glowing for Civil War. I have not seen this much good press on a release in a long time, and the fact Marvel is opening up nearly a month before release for this shows how confident they are in it. Pretty much every review has praised Spider-Man as the best on-screen representation yet, which has me excited for a Marvel creatively backed reboot of the series.
Given the crowded nature of this film - and that Cap and Iron Man are clearly the two main characters - I don't see that as a problem. From the sounds of it, they're pretty impressive, impactful, and memorable 7 minutes. Sounds like they make the most of his appearance for such little screen time.
7 minutes in a film with 23000 characters in it is still pretty impressive.
Yeah, I try to remember that this is a movie for Captain America, and Iron Man is along for the ride. Everyone else is just guest starring, so I'm not too concerned about their screen time.
Ya but from what I have read they do give a decent amount of time for both sides to shine a bit, not entirely narrowing in on Captain America. The video above even said you are likely to switch sides a few times just because of how well they do the conflict, with them sharing protagonist and antagonist roles depending on each moment.
Which is great! I still consider it all bonus, and I won't be upset if Character A has less time on screen than Character B.
I just want to make sure people keep the right expectations. This will be about like Falcon in Ant-man (hopefully. Worst case we get Iron Man 2.).
I do find it interesting that supposedly Ant-Man and Spider-Man steal the show with their humor. Really cool to see Paul Rudd grow into the role of Scott Lang. When he appeared recently with the rest of TeamCap on Jimmy Kimmel, he said that Ant-Man is the first character he has every played that his two kids actually "know about", and that when he goes to his daughters Kindergarten they call him Ant-Man.
Paul Rudd is fantastic and I was so happy Ant-Man was a good movie.

So a few reviews mention a scene at the start of the movie in which Bucky, sometime in the past, is "activated" by Hydra to carry out an assassination. They seem to allude that it's a big deal to the story. Anyone else think...
Bucky was the one that killed Howard and Maria Stark? It's alluded in Winter Soldier by Zola that it was Hydra that had them killed, so adding that bombshell to the mix will explain why everything snowballs into that airport fight, Tony will no longer want Bucky captured, he will want him dead, and all hell will break loose.
