[Movies] The Upcoming Movies Trailer Thread

I agree--the Bourne movies are fun. They kind of feel like the only franchise keeping the action genre alive.

I thought the main reason Godzilla kept returning was the folly of man? It's something history shows us again and again after all.
@Bubble181 , @Dave explained the reference early...

Oh no! They say he's got to go!

Don't worry -- I gently reminded him that we have a system in place for such things...

If only we had a rating to indicate when someone needs a clarification...

;)
All right, all right, I am properly chastened.

The trailers haven't really sold me on this one, Ivan Ooze or not. It just looks kind of vanilla. The last two X-Men movies (three if you count Deadpool) have felt really ambitious and interesting in their own ways, and this one just feels like "and now it's time for the Ultimate Bad Guy!"

My initial reaction to that last shot, of Wolverine's claws, is a negative one.

After some contemplation though... eh, oh well. Can't say I'm surprised they shoehorned him in.

You know, cheesy as most of that show was, some of those Apocalypse quotes are pretty great. Some definitely went over my head with the literary/history references, too, when I was young.

I am the eternal shore. Crash against me AND BE BROKEN!

Stephen King's Cell

This one's been in development hell for a little bit, and in that time cell phones have changed. The book was written with the flip phone in mind, but now that we have smart phones, it kind of screws with the mechanics of the premise a little. As shown in the trailer, people use video chat if they can. People hold their phones in front of them on speaker instead of up to their ears. In the book, there's a signal that comes through, but how does that translate to a video that's being recorded somewhere else? It only matters at the beginning of the story, but still. This is what happens when you waffle on whether Eli Roth should direct a movie (the answer should always be no).

Cell phones making people go crazy?

I can just picture Samuel L. Jackson going, "For thom reathon, I feel like I've theen thith thit before..."

Oh goodie, another "they're not zombies!" zombie movie.

Couldn't they have just set it not in the immediate present?
