I don't WHAT the fuck that movie is about, but I want to see it.
This is how you remake a film Hollywood... and i bet they don't even have to acknowledge the guys behind Weekend at Bernie's.
This is what happens when you let filmmakers do LSD.
Grimdark would be the forest catching fire, the dragon smashing police cars while Pete looks on with a smirk, and an atmosphere of misery. You know, like Batman vs Superman.
The tone here is trying too hard to be uplifting. I don't remember the original too well, but this seems like they want the new one to be The Iron Giant.
They could be tiny feathers.

Because really, evolution says that "fire-breathing" and "hairy" should not evolve coincident, since there's no evolutionary advantage to smelling like burnt hair.

It looks like Miss Peregrine the Movie is going to be a HUGE departure from the books. This is fine, if they do it well, and this looks like it'll be good.
Interesting concept.
Even those were still brain-crazy monsters when there weren't brains around, but they could talk. These ones seem to be perfectly reasonable so long as they don't get a whiff of the living. (Unless the Return ones are like that in the sequels; I only saw the first one.)
Actually, I take back what I said about not being scared by a movie as an adult. Return of the Living Dead got under my skin and I was horrified while watching that. Every attempt at humor just made the whole thing even creepier for me.

I think that was the first modern zombie movie where they could talk." and then I go on about the 'send more cops" scene before I realize that her mom was getting ready for the we-don't-discuss-zombies-at-the-table bit.

The one RotLD sequel had a zombie woman who wouldn't attack her boyfriend and was pretty rational as long as she felt pain (or someshit).
And I will never forget what a beautiful, awful practical effect it was.
Some thoughts:
1. I did not think the first Mechanic film needed a sequel.
2. I did not know the first Mechanic film did well enough to justify a sequel.
3. The Mechanic films continue to "homage" the Hitman games. I'm actually OK with this, in the absence of actually decent Hitman movies.
4. Jessica Alba remains as hot as ever.
5. As does Jason Statham.
I wasn't sure where to put this, but for Japan, Deadpool appeared for an after-credits scene X-Men Apocalypse ... the trailer.
Since not everyone makes it to the end of Fox movies 
I always thought Mechanic was an homage to the Mechanic movies.
