Didn't Adam just tell all the gents in the forum to take their vitamins? Were you not listening Dave?

I've never had to before but there's been a few major changes in my life that I think are directly responsible. First, my daughter is lactose intolerant, so we have almond milk. Second, I use sunscreen and that inhibits vitamin D absorption. Third, I've been cutting back on my fast food intake, which means not as many cheeseburgers. Consequently, my dairy has been cut back quite a bit. I plan to rectify that.

I thought doctors mostly felt dietary supplements were not very helpful.
E.g. http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-s...xperts-dont-waste-your-money-on-multivitamins
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/2014/06/do-vitamins-work/index.htm

On the other hand, one of those kooky "one weird trick" types of remedies does hold up under clinical testing: treating joint pain by consuming gelatin.
From the consumer reports link:
The evidence says: Multis can help prevent nutrient deficiencies in specific groups, such as pregnant women. But clinical trials repeatedly have failed to prove that the pills benefit healthy people.
I take multivitamins because my diet is an abhorrent mess of burgers, pizza and General Tso's chicken. It's been 3 weeks since I ate a vegetable.

A wonderful lady at an educational conference once said this:

"I've been with my new husband for 5 years. It feels more like five minutes. Under water."
