Lot of folks predicted a German map, glad to see they were right. Should be fun!

I was reading that as well as win streaks, when you get into a losing streak you also LOSE MORE rank. Which is silly.
It looks like this is a reverse of the usual Assault/Escort. Instead of assaulting and then pushing a payload to the end, you move a payload to knock down the door, then assault the throne room of the castle for the victory. I like all the twists and turns, look like it will be fun.
That is the greatest thing.

Yay finally got to level 25 and finished all my placement matches. Ranked at 48.
Played one game after, too, just to lock it in. Lost a level to 47. Oh well.
Also last night I learned that Torb has a secondary shotgun fire. I never realized it until I was looking up how much damage his rivet gun does and the site was like, "That depends on which fire pattern you use," and I was all, "...huh?"

I played with a friend recently, bless his heart, that played for a week never realizing you had to switch songs to heal as Lucio.
Last night after Gas logged off, we had a guy on our team that was such an obnoxious asshole it was very tempting to throw the game just for him. He auto locked Pharah, then bitched that our comp was all wrong, we needed different healers, Hanzo (Snuffles) was a waste.
He then didn't even medal in damage, as Snuffles was gold, and Terrik and I on tanks were silver and bronze.
He did eventually swap to Lucio, but not until he spent 5 minutes whining that we were all bad.

I had someone pleading with me to pick a different character when I chose Hanzo for an attack in King's Row. "Please," he pleaded, "pick literally anyone else."
And I might've, if only any other person on my team had chosen literally anyone else that could conceivably do recon (Widow, Ana, Pharah, Tracer, even Reaper, Symmetra, or Torbjörn). But no. There was even some fighting over who got to be Reinhardt.

To be fair, we snarl and groan every time Hanzo is picked on attack. Widow too. Sometimes even Ana. If you go sniper on attack, you better be fucking amazing.
The current meta is 2 tanks, 2 offense, 2 support, and recon can go fuck itself.
The Hanzo buffs with genji nerfs are gonna be awesome

So what you're saying is the current meta is Reinhardt, Zarya, Lúcio, Zenyatta, Genji, and Reaper.
Also, I don't care what the meta says. If I suck at Reinhardt, I'm not going to play Reinhardt, I'm going to play something where I think I can contribute the most. These Type-A folks need to calm the frag down.

AKA SRS FKN BZNS.
But no, it's not always Reinhardt and Zarya, it's usually Diva and (Other tank, which most often is Roadhog actually), and it's not always Genji and Reaper, usually it's Pharah and (other DPS)... but yeah, it's been Lucio and Zenyatta for a couple weeks. Except when Snuffles isn't around, then it's usually just Lucio and a third DPS or maybe a Junkrat.

I have no idea where all but, like, 2 health packs are. If we don't have a healer (or I am not playing a healer) I just basically go without.
The two health packs I know how to find are the one in the cafe in Ilios that's on the shortest route between the spawn and the control point on the side of the cliff, and the one down in the side room at the bottom of the dip at the first checkpoint in Gibraltar (and they're removing that checkpoint).
Oh yeah, and the small kit inside the statue at the first chokepoint in King's Row.
My point is, you don't need to memorize the maps and learn where all the health packs are. I mean, heck, I only learned about a week ago how to get up into the windows that overlook the first king's row checkpoint.
What's infinitely more important is that you learn to do damage quickly and accurately. And you can only do that by playing against real people.
Honestly, I see a lot of Rein/Zarya popping up, because both are counters to D.Va, or I see Rein/D.Va, or D.Va/Zarya. But DPS continues to mostly be Pharah/other. Sometimes it switches up from that, but it almost never ends well. At least, not in PuGs. :O (Also, Gas is the only one of us who treats competitive like serious business, the rest of us play to win, but don't see the point about getting ragey about it outside of the moment. THAT SAID, if I'm going to get pissed, it's going to be at auto-locking DPS who can't do their jobs bitching about other people picking the wrong meta characters )
