I started with quick play today because I didn't feel like having to worry much. After a couple matches, I started getting into games with idiots, so I switched over to competitive thinking I'd be playing alongside more competent people.

Instead I just played against more competent people. My team was still dancing around the point instead of getting on it. I sincerely thought competitive would be a way to escape this kind of shit.

Probably because I'm an idiot too.

Not on that map, but you did in Skirmish, and I think once in Hanamura.

Oh man, we don't have a video of me telling Gas that if he hates Junkrat so much maybe he should learn to count to 4.

Funny thing about Junkrat, he actually gets five shots per reload + the mine

So counting to 4 is ... probably less effective than you might think.

I wonder if the text from my stream is readable on that match where we played against a team full of people even saltier than Gas.

My favorite part of that one is that we were all wrecking their faces, and all they cried about was Reaper's ult.

Their D.Va seems to have forgotten she can block projectiles, too.
And I mean, I just watched Dei mow everyone down with D.Va. Not strategically backed into a corner and killed, either...just "I will stand here and soak up all that damage oh look I'm dead."
They had a Symmetra, but no turrets? Sheesh. Why can't my competitive matches be full of scrubs like those guys?

Tonight in Overwatch: We have a girl named literally "GaymerGirl" on our team, practically saying teehee. The Genji on our team was trying SO HARD to be nice to her. SO HARD.

I like how in the first match most of you were concentrating quietly while Terrik just keeps chatting to no one, then the rest of you realized how bad the enemy was and all got chatty together.

Mei is involved in two popular ships. One is with Zarya, and the other is with Junkrat, that goes by the creative title of "Meihem". I actually think the latter is more popular then the Zarya one, which is weird since it's a straight ship, and most of the more popular ones are gay ships (Hanzo/McCree, S76/Reaper, Mercy/Pharah). Always found that kind of interesting, though I guess it's because Junkrat has an unusually large fan base.

P.S I should mention this is just by general observation, for all I actually know the Zarya one is more popular, but I don't see it nearly as much as the Meihem one on my own feeds.

Mercy and Pharah just makes sense... I look at them and think ok, yeah, they make sense as a couple.


I mean, Mercy can heal her while she flies, who wouldn't want that?

I would expect the most popular Junkrat pairing would be with Roadhog. I mean, there's existing dialog synergy and everything. Just like Zenyatta/Genji, Tracer/Symmetra, Lucio/D.Va, or Soldier76/Ana/Reinhardt.
I mean, I haven't read any, but these are what I expect.

It probably also has to do with the fact that Pharah and Mercy remind me of Korra and Asami for some reason.


Spoilers, I guess, for anyone that hasn't finished Korra.

I hate the trend of Mercys just hiding during team fights and then popping out to rez. What a fun and interactive strategy. Most boring way to play a char ever. :(
