Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

Not kids, but I had an acquaintance get an angry later from her neighbor because her cat was killing all the wild birds so they couldn't watch them anymore.
I was visiting friends that have 20 cats. I step onto the back porch, and find a wind chime for a nature conservancy. I broke into laughter. When asked what was so funny? I point an said, "Y'all fuckers killed every songbird for at least 2 miles around.

Nope, I don't believe this is real. I refuse.
I had a neighbor who was a bachelor or widower next to us for years. Then he got married, and some months after that decided that he needed to have a talk with us about letting our kids outside in the backyard. At any time. Because they were noisy and his new wife wanted peace and quiet when she sat outside. You could tell he hated asking me about it, but it appears his wife wasn't about to confront us, and forced him to have that conversation. Fortunately we moved not too long after that. I'm surprised she didn't call the township and complain about our chickens, maybe she didn't know they weren't legal.

So while it's possible it's a fabrication, I wouldn't be surprised if it were real.[DOUBLEPOST=1475291899,1475291400][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh, and for the record these were 110 feet deep, 60 feet wide (33.5m x 18m or 0.15 acre) lots so it's not like we were postage stamped 20 feet from their porch. We also had 5 foot privacy fencing which blocked a lot of noise.

Of course, now we've got a 300 foot by 600 foot (91m x 183m or 4.5 acre) lot and nobody cares what we or our kids do in the backyard.

Brace yourselves for the deluge, Halloween's right around the corner.

... I don't know. I'll give people a pass for not watching Suicide Squad.

Can't be any worse than the sheer number of Deadpools at the Space City Comic Con this year. They were even organizing into mass deadpool groups.

Fade brings up a good point; why aren't we giving all the Deadpool the same crap? Even before the movie, for every 1 Deadpool fan boy who got the character, there were usually 4 roaming around cons who thought throwing on a DP short gave them carte-blanche to act like a loud, obnoxious jackass.

When guys throw on comic stuff, we never question their knowledge or fandom. I remember a friend of mine's ex-fiance who would tell me he loved the Punisher. I don't, but I've read some of his stories, so I asked him what made him like the character. His answer was basically he'd never read the comics, but saw him, knew he was an ex-soldier who shot at other characters, so that made him "cool". So that's an acceptable answer for guys but not for women?

Someone I know posted a similar Harley meme on Facebook last week, and I pointed out that he was the guy equivalent, having worn the same, mediocre "Joker costume" several years in a row whole barely knowing anything about him, aside from "he's psychotic and scary". But as far as Harley goes, i guess when female villains/heroes hardly get any leading roles, it's easy to latch on the few that do.

It's certainly a double standard (though I would call anyone who hasn't seen Suicide Squad as simply being smart) but it can sometimes happen to guys too. I remembering seeing this about Heath Ledger joker costumes when The Dark Knight was new.

Also, I looked into the source of the meme - the cosplay was done by a korean idol company ("Twice Melody Project"), the model (stage name "Sana") apparently not only had not seen the movie, but was unfamiliar with the character entirely, and guessed she was some kind of zombie based upon the disheveled nature of the costume in the source material shown to her by her producer.

Actually, pretty much everywhere I read these days is sick and tired of jerkoffs in deadpool costumes using it as a license to act like jerkoffs.

So she was put in the costume as part of her job? Because the meme seems to imply she picked it out for her own interests, or bashing anyone who does. Without the context, it takes on a different meaning.

I would like the Deadpool part to be true. The fandom turned me off to the character a long time ago.

I fear Deadpool will take over Homestuck's place as the intensely hated cosplay du jour. The Halloween shop featured no less that four variations of the adult Deadpool costume.

Yes. She didn't pick the costume, a producer basically brought her pictures and said "how would you like to try this?" But the guy who made the image just took the lines out of context which, as you correctly state, changes the meaning to something else.

As for the Deadpool thing, it's definitely the case on Imgur and Reddit - I've noticed a steadily increasing amount of exasperation with Deadpool cosplay "antics."
