Oh hey, I got a code for Gears of War 4 from the video card I purchased. Alright, I'll give it a try, never played a gears game.
Oh, it's not a steam code, it can only be gotten through the windows store. Well, how bad could this be?
Ok, Windows store wants me to update first, and will only do so if I turn on automatic updates. Fine, whatever, I'll just turn those back off later.
Oh good, it decided to scan through my computer and "update" the drivers to my flight stick, changing it to a generic USB device. Now it's not recognized by the actual driver installer. Ugh, I'll have to go and manually change that driver now.
Oh, before I can play the game, I need to create an Xbox live account, and install the Xbox app to my PC.
Oh, it's wanting to turn back on all those garbage live tiles I turned off first thing.
Oh, it wants me to link my new Xbox live account with a Microsoft account, and make that my windows password, and...
You know what? I'll just not play Gears of War 4.
