Movie News & Miscellany

Without the movie, Quad City DJs would have never created the Space Jam musical genre. That alone is reason enough to watch this cultural touchstone.

...really? Um...I think ONE particular scene in that film won't do well with critics.
Ha ha ha ha, JUST ONE?!!!!

The thing was an asshair's breadth from being hentai. But nevertheless, yes, in 2008 it was reported to have been in development as a live action adaptation.

Are you thinking of when he was rumored to play Spider-Man?

Also, yeah this is the perfect choice. Kinda weird they went with a fairly big name for Lando while going with a total nobody for Han.
Billy Dee Williams was the biggest star in Empire... and Ford was a relative nobody for Star Wars.

So this has happened before.

Well this sucks.

Bryan Fuller is stepping back from the showrunner role of CBS’ “Star Trek: Discovery” as he juggles production responsibilities on two other series, Variety has learned exclusively.
Booooo.

Writer-director Akiva Goldsman is also expected to join “Discovery” in a top creative role.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I don't feel streaming services is the same as being "on TV." I'd rather see it on AMC or CW, than to vanish into the internet forever.

Uwe Boll to retire from making movies. Apparently there's no money in it anymore saying "I would be happy to make movies but it is just not financially profitable." Maybe if your movies weren't so dreck they would have made more money? Oh, and if Uwe Boll ever sees this, takes offense & decides to challenge me to a boxing match, just so he knows - the outcome of that match woudln't actually change the (lack of) quality of his movies.

Yeah, he'd been able to make so many movies thanks to a German tax loophole. That loophole was recently closed.
