I've been up and down within ~200pt spread, still can't seem to get above my season starting point. Maybe, as @GasBandit says, it's because I solo queue so much.

Can anyone explain how I got a score of 5 (career best!) on Junkrat? Because I'm really confused as to how that would be possible last night.

5 healing. Somehow Junkrat healed either himself or something else for 5 points. Anyone know how?
My wife is a sweetheart, but she also possesses goblin magic. She's been home from work this week due to a neck issue and decided yesterday to play Overwatch on my account to get me some loot boxes.
Out of three loot boxes, she got me three Halloween skins I didn't have, one of them being the coveted Junkenstein. I played later, enough for one loot box, and got my usual, three grays and a blue.

Ive never understood junkrat hate.
On one hand, he's a supposedly a left clicking explosive nightmare that fires off tires faster than one's respawn timer and causes extreme frustration and mental anguish...
On the other hand he's supposedly a troll pick and OH MY GOD PICK ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS JUNKRAT ON THEIR TEAM WHAT THE FU
I think it's that every time we need a healer or tank the last pick is always junkrat or genji. And then they sit on their ult for the entire game.

And I think that ratio is 65/35 in favor of Genji.
I like Junkrat because he's great against sentry Bastion (can fire from behind cover/ricochet doorways) and Genji (because most Genji players will chase me and then stupidly get caught in the trap I drop as I am running) but HOLYYYY COW I'm branching out into Soldier76 and he's a lot better than I thought. He plays like a heavy assault version of Tracer but without having to bump twice before locking in the char.

By the end of the night, it was starting to almost be funny. Or the hysteria was setting in.
In the match I referenced above, Terrik froze the whole enemy team with his ult but died as it started going off because I'm pretty sure I did more damage prevention with my barriers than our healers healed. Our Pharah landed in the middle of all of them and stared at them until they thawed and then she died.
I still remember the nights we did Questionable Ethics and Questionable Ethics 2. I will never forget the frustration.

In other news, I'm up to level 94? 95? now, still on track to hit 100 right as the event ends and miss out on the EZ loot boxes.

We're officially in ELO hell now. We got two randos on our team last night that didn't even have stars, and one insisted he only plays damage... despite the fact that he wasn't doing any damage. My rank graph is starting to look sinusoidal.
