Games on SALE!

Apparently GOG Connect hasn't been abandoned. For the next two days there are 17 more titles to add to your GOG library if you have them on Steam. Most are mediocre, but there are some well reviewed titles like Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Hotline Miami, OlliOlli and others.

The thing about GTAV is that they release a lot of new content, particular for GTA Online, even if it's something as simple as new bundles of clothes, vehicles, and emotes. Not to mention the cubic fucktons of user created content.
Yeah, but that's meaningless to me. So I'll continue to complain about the long running single player series I like being full price 2 years on.

It honestly bugs me that all these great features and additions are only for the online aspect of the game. All those new clothes, cars, and missions? That'd make for some great DLC or expansion packs.

Idiots don't buy virtual money for single player games.

Transformers Devastation just went on sale again. Bought it and installed it from work. The future is grand.

Monument Valley for iOS looks like it's on sale. It is a wonderful Escher puzzle game, easily worth the original cost.

If you haven't purchased it yet I doubt you'd be disappointed by it.[DOUBLEPOST=1476313457,1476313373][/DOUBLEPOST]It's available on other platforms as well but I don't know if it's on sale there.

I'm going to guess these do not include the movie as well.
Mostly they don't. I think the majority require you to get the movie yourself. However, some do include the film being mocked, like the "Batman: Tunnel of Terror" (which is an episode from an old B&W television series), and the Night of the Living Dead. Surprisingly "The Wizard" seems to be one in which the full video is included.

And I just picked up the new DLC for 5 bucks--Castle Drachenfels. One of the cool points about Vermintide's DLC is that if one person in the group owns it, everyone can play it.
I was like ... that's not new! Then it occurred to me, we'd only played it before together, and I was the one who bought it.

Vermintide is having a free weekend.

Anyone wanting to try it out can probably find willing groupmates in Terrik, Myself, and possibly Snuffles or Dei.
Ugh, I really hate when companies hike their prices just prior to a sale and then make it look like it's a huge one.

Been on my wish list for months now at $19.99 on a regular basis. Pricewatch sees it bump to $33 and now it's $16.49 with a "50%" sale.

Still a sale technically but not as advertised.

I'm downloading it since I want to see if I'll like it or not. I'll be playing this around 10 PM Eastern.

There are two editions, you might be comparing the collector's edition to the base edition.

Where are you getting your prices? Both www.steamprices.com and steamdb.info show it's regular price as $30 (US) / $33 (CAN), stretching back months.

For a shock greater than any scene in either horror movie I watched tonight--it runs. It runs on lowest settings, but it runs smooth, pretty much zero lag except when the area's flooded with Skaven, and even then it's not bad at all. I figured if this comp couldn't run Dark Souls, then it wasn't going to run anything recent, but apparently From Software games are just that poorly optimized (no wonder my PS4 plays Overwatch without complaint, but the fan starts screaming when it's time for Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3).

I'm not sure if I like Vermintide much though. Can't tell if I was having a problem because I had no idea what I was doing or because I'm really friggin tired, so I'll have to try again tomorrow. At the very least, I definitely need to download L4D2 on this comp.

Playing Overwatch on Ps4 so much these past few months ... it's easy to forget how good aiming with a mouse feels like.

This is probably super-pushing it, but I wonder if it could handle Overwatch on low settings.

Super low settings looks like playing on a Sega Genesis, but it's pretty smooth.

Free weekend for Vermintide has ended, though it's still on sale for another several hours.

I'm not really sold on it. Would rather be playing L4D2 or Overwatch.
The ultimate failing of Vermintide is that it REQUIRES you to play with some fairly competent players to get anything done, especially if you want good loot. That was ultimately why I left it; I couldn't just play when I wanted to.

If you haven't played recently, they have REALLY lowered the difficulty. Like, a LOT. It's almost TOO easy now.

It's worth the upgrade.
I keep hearing that, I'm just very fond of the GBA cartridge slot, and how sturdy it is (don't know if I trust a 3DS to endure the amount of crap my 10-year-old Lite has gone through).

At least my two pirate cartridges from my middle/high-school years are long dead, so that excuse to not upgrade is not there.
