What are you playing?

You need to close it for bad weather, and for nighttime, I don't think you need to pet them before you let them out, though I could be wrong. I think fencing them in is just personal preference though.

I never close the doors at night though, unless it's going to rain the next day.
The bug is listed here among others,

http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/psa-major-animal-bugs-issues.126444/

(I know it says starbound but it's a stardew valley thread)

and as the later posts in the thread are from this week (tuesday) it would seem to indicate they are still present.

I can't decide if I should subject someone on wonder trade to this horrific failure, or if I should just release it.

Actually I have a question about that...

I've been meticulously opening the animal doors every morning and shutting them every night, because I've read there's a bug where if the animals go outside to eat grass before you interact with them, it raises their mood so high that it wraps back around to them being in a crap mood... so to build those hearts, I allegedly need to pet them BEFORE they go out to graze. Is that still the case?

Also, I'm unclear about how wolf attacks work. I currently have my barn and coop fenced in with a gate... do I even need that? If a coop or barn doesn't have a fence around it, and I leave the livestock door open overnight, do wolves get IN to get the chickens? Or does that only affect animals physically locked out of their shelter?

Basically, am I wasting my time putting fenced yards around my livestock structures and planting grass within, and opening/shutting the doors manually, when what I could be doing is just using a single line of fence to protect the crops from grass expansion and let grass grow everywhere else and the animals can just graze anywhere and I don't have to mess with the doors?
As far as I'm aware, the animal happiness bug is still in the game.

Wolf attacks are so rare, basically no one is absolutely sure how they work. I've heard reports of wolves taking animals from coops and barns that were left open, but these have generally been second-hand accounts at best. Some people say that having a gated fence around your animals is enough to protect them, while others say closing the barn/coop doors is necessary to ensure their safety. No idea which one is right. Personally I try to always close the barn/coop doors at the end of the day, it just feels right, y'know?

Personally I like to keep my animals fenced in, primarily so that I don't have to wait for the animals to wander back home from a distant corner of the farm before I can close the doors, and so that the truffles from pigs will be contained within a set area, instead of me having to hunt them down all over my farm.

Bunnies. You're killing me here. It's the 24th of autumn and still no rabbit feet. It's the last thing I need for the community center.

Don't make me get one the hard way ;_;

Make sure you're checking that traveling merchant to the south of your farm when she's there, she sometimes has one.

There's a bunny-friendly way of getting rabbit feet?
Apparently in Stardew Valley, if a bunny is happy enough he will simply grow and discard an extra foot.

Thankfully, on the 28th of fall, a bunny finally dropped a foot, so I completed the community center. The house is fully upgraded, I've got 10 heart friendships with 8 people and everybody's practically over 5, I think I'm on track to blow grandpa's socks off when he rises from the dead in a month.[DOUBLEPOST=1483308605,1483308564][/DOUBLEPOST]

Oh, believe me, I was checking her obsessively.

I finally got around to finishing F.E.A.R. 2 and F.E.A.R. 3. The second was the high point of the series. Don't get me wrong--the third was fun enough, but the voice acting was weaker, and the story left too much unanswered. It was also kind of disappointing to
ingloriously kill off the protagonist of F.E.A.R. 2. Poor Becket.
. I also tried the expansions to the original, but they were pretty repetitive, so I don't know if I'll finish them. Plus, Extraction Point seems to be stuck loading near the end.

I love Tyranny, but I wish I'd known there were so many great mage characters when I started. Being one myself means I can't take many along without the party getting imbalanced.

Fear 3 is at it's best when you play it co-op... because it's still a competitive game: you and your friend are competing to see which ending you get. But yeah... that story was dumb.

Well, I "beat" Stardew Valley, finally. 2 in game years over 78 real life hours. Grandpa's ghost appeared the first day of year 3, gave me the statue that pukes iridium ore every day. Damn straight he should be impressed, I took an overgrown ruin and turned it into a profit machine - over 1 million in revenue, 200k+ in the bank (of course, this is a universe where a salad costs 220), gigantic house, hot young redhead wife, one kid with another on the way, revitalized the town economy, beloved by all in the community, greenhouse churning out cranberries and starfruit faster than I can possibly ever ferment and age it, the only shortcoming on my record is that I didn't get to 10 skill in every category (10-8-9-8-8). But still, not too bad for 2 years.

Now why can't I get my rear in gear and get to fixing my actual life as enthusiastically >_<

And because real life is a bug ridden mess. The main character is unresponsive for roughly 8 hours out of every 24 FFS!

Picked up Mortal Kombat X during the winter steam sale. So far it's pretty damn cool as a lifelong fan of MK, and it runs beautifully on PC.

So I bought the only New 3DS XL for sale, outside of overpriced sellers on Amazon and Ebay, apparently, in all of Canada.

Game suggestions?

If you liked Stardew Valley, you can try Rune Factory 4. Both Fire Emblem games are solid. Beyond that, need genre preferences before I give more ideas. ;)

I started The Stanley Parable.

This I like. This is a new kind of game, and I'm enjoying it. Though, I can see it will get old fast. Glad I only paid like a buck for it.

My wife isn't much of a gamer. But she does like building/simulation type games, so I got her Sims4.I told her construction was the most difficult part of the game and to start off just learning how the sims all work.

So, naturally, she proceeds to delete the living room floor, trapping her poor sim. She's ranting in the other room while her sim whines and cries because it's pissing itself while slowly dying of hunger and sleep deprivation. It probably isn't helping her mood that I find the situation hilarious.

There is a cheat code to reset the SIM to a safe spot, if that helps. ;)
