What are you playing?

I used to play MoO2 religiously until I realized that the Hyper-X Capacitor / Phasing Cloak / Time Warp Facilitator combo was basically an "I win" button, and it stopped being as much fun. Still fun, of course, but not quite as much.[DOUBLEPOST=1484616656,1484616502][/DOUBLEPOST]

That panel you've got on the lower right that shows all needs together, is that a mod?

Other mods I like:

Chirpfilter (kills uninformative chirps):

Automatic Emptying (automatically sets "full" landfills and cemetaries to start emptying when they hit 100% capacity, then flips them back to collecting when they hit 0):

Clouds and Fog toggler (get rid of they annoying high level haze):

When I get home today, I plan to install this one:
Achievement Enabler (turns achievements back on when using mods):

My favorite cheese tactic was to use a ship filled to the brim with assault shuttles (and nothing else) to take over races that only have orbital defenses. I usually play a telepathic race, so I steal ships and use them in combat, too.

I tried playing Skyrim again after all the Skyrim posts showed up on the Front Page at Imgur. Nope. I get to Helgen, and start thinking of how much crap there is to do, and then shut it off.

The REAL Dovahkiin would not have been so easily dissuaded.

Since Skyrim I explicitly do not try to do everything in those open world games.

Maybe try one of the alternative start mods, like Live Another Life?

I honestly don't really like Skyrim much either. Side quests are one thing. Wander around forever and *maybe* play the actual plot type of games just frustrate me.

After I beat it once, I wasn't interested in 100%ing the vanilla game... after that, "playing skyrim" was seeing how much I could mod it before it croaked.

And that's one of the reasons I fucking LOVE Skyrim! I've been playing it since 2011 and I'm STILL finding out new things.
I mean, wander around and find another random hole with the same generic enemies and some scrambled version of the same gray-brown map? Once you get there, the occupants are immediately aggressive, so there's no story, just left-click, left-click, left-click.

I love Skyrim because I love making characters, and then the type of character I make informs what he will do in the game. Some characters are the hero of the story, some merely want to be a member of the thieves guild, or the world's best assassin, or to steal every cheese roll in the world.

Final Fantasy XV.

It's okay - I've been treating it as a vacation game when Overwatch stresses me out. Some high-pitched 3rd grader gets on my nerves? Just have to quit overwatch and play Final Fantasy, do some camping and fishing while unwinding.

Downloading Bravely Default on the new 3DS.

Man, I thought PSN was slow. It's been going for about an hour and it's only 1/3rd of the way through.

My internet connection is 150 mb/s.

If you don't get annoyed with that game long before the end, I will applaud you.

Francis? Is that you?

I'm really liking Bravely Default, but holy shit, I was DISGUSTED when it let me know I could buy fun cheat mode with real life money (NOT THE FAKE KIND IN THIS GAME).

GROSS.

GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I can tell you aren't very far yet. >.>

I got further than that, that was just my initial reaction to the game.
No no, it was the part where you said you were really enjoying it. >.>

I know I'm being a total Buzzkill about that game, you'll know when you get to the part we all bitched about. Maybe it won't bother you.

There's a DLC for Football Manager 2016 called the In-game Editor, which basically allows you to change the stats for players and teams on the fly. So, for example, if I wanted to I could set Lionel Messi to be a player for my team, on a 10-year contract of 1 dollar a week. I could also change the stats of any of my players to be just as good as Messi, or even better than him. I could have a team of 22 ubermensches if I wanted.

I mainly use it to make small cosmetic changes to my team's uniform every off season, to simulate the real-world practice of teams updating their kits every year so that fans will need to buy new replicas.

The only time I ever used a sports game editor was in a friend's NHL game. I created a forward named Altamiru Nahouriman mainly because I wanted to see how long of a name I could enter, but he became a character with his own backstory, that of being the first Indian drafted to play professional hockey in the NHL.

I still have never bothered, because I haven't bought a football game in more than a decade, but if I do I'm gonna play as the Cleveland Browns and trade for every player with the same last name. I think I could field a team.

I tried playing Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. Since that Dragonspear expansion, they did something to the game that makes it uglier than it originally was. It's hideous now. It's hard to look at. Weird outlines and filters on all the sprites. It's awful. I can't play this.

I'm back in Space Engineers, but playing with all settings on "Realistic," so everything takes 9 years to do.

I've been streaming it. Amazingly enough people are watching it.

Even though it's probably the most tedious shit in the universe.

"Oh dear, I need more platinum. Welp, time to fly to the platinum asteroid, 20km away, at 100m/s, so here's 3 straight minutes of drifting through a starry void!"

At least you're not driving a bus from Tucson to Las Vegas.

True, at least I can just turn off the engines, coast, and watch a youtube video in another tab, periodically checking to see when I need to start slowing down. Can't exactly do that while driving.

You just described most of what I do in Elite.

Also, there's a mod that lets you have a youtube monitor in your ship to watch while in VR.
