Games on SALE!

To wit: the Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne story content is all designed to be solo.

PVP, Operations, and flashpoints are mostly optional.

They've released a lot more stuff since then, and from what I've heard most of it is geared to being played solo.
Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Fallen Throne are both lengthy, solo only experiences (well, you CAN bring friends if you want but it's designed for solo). Both are REALLY good.

And if they offered me that at a one-time €06 price or something I'd be more than happy to pay. I'm not paying per month, though.[DOUBLEPOST=1486638600,1486638329][/DOUBLEPOST]
Confession time: I have never played KOTOR. This seems like a good time as any to start, though.
Start with the first one. Play both. Start with a LS KOTOR and DS KOTOR 2 playthrough. Get the KOTOR2 restoration mod before touching the game.

You sub one month and then you'll get permanent access to both KOTFE and KOTET forever after that. I think you get Hutt Cartel and Shadow of Revan too.

So... you pay $15 for all of it by subbing once, then you just immediately end the sub. You'll still get the full 30 days of premium access and 500 Cartel Coins, but you won't have to pay for anything else unless you want it. Until the next Knights campaign comes out anyway.

The Humble Bundle Freedom Bundle is absolutely insane. It's all in support of the ACLU, the IRC, and the MSF, which Humble Bundle will match contributions up to $300,000.

Stardew Valley is easily worth many times more than $2.50. I'd say subnautica is a good price there, Octodad, Super Meat Boy, Stanley Parable and Day of the Tentacle as well.

If you don't own the ones you listed, leap on this like a giant cat of the serengeti.

Stardew Valley and DotT are definitely worth that, if not more. Subnautica seems worth it, too.

Personally, I think Guacamelee and Mini-Metro are fun. The former's a lucha-flavoured Metrovania game. Mini-Metro is a fun little puzzle game around connecting city transit lines (and more engrossing than I expected).[DOUBLEPOST=1487020070,1487020027][/DOUBLEPOST]For me, I own about a fifth of this list already. But it's still a HELL of a deal. And I could gift the ones I own to various friends.

I got it and will probably be giving some away. I was really interested in the AI War: Fleet Command until I found out it's already in my library! Must have gotten it in a different bundle and didn't even realize it.

For anyone getting the bundle, please read the included The Boys issues (and then get the rest). Fantastic comic, though not a very positive portrayal of septics overall.

Apparently, I own "The Swapper" and "Superbrothers S&S" already as well. Well waddayaknow.

Also, jeeze, since you're making me link my Steam and HB accounts anyway, why the h*** force me to manually redeem every single game separately? That's 7 clicks per game, for 30+ games. ugh.[DOUBLEPOST=1487023234,1487023187][/DOUBLEPOST]

They disapprove of toilet flush systems without sewers?

I gave it some more thought and I don't think I'll get this bundle. For one, I won't be able to pay off my credit card until next month. Two, I recounted and I already have 16 of the 40 games listed. The only one I'd honestly be interested in is Subnautica. I don't have any interest in The Witness and I'd probably gift that to someone. The rest would just fill up my Steam library and I'd probably never get around to playing them.

"Update (Feb. 15): Humble Bundle has added 14 additional games, an ebook, and a downloadable music album to the Freedom Bundle selection in addition to the 40 games and seven ebooks discussed below. At the same time, certain games like Subnautica and Super Meat Boy have run out of Steam keys to distribute to new bundle purchasers (though Super Meat boy is still available for standalone download)."

Hm. More games that I already own (DAMN YOU 400+ GAME LIBRARY!) and it's not really worth it to me without Subnautica. Ah well, I don't have the money for it, anyway.

In the meantime, it looks like they're cruising along to $5 million, which is fantastic.

Maybe I have to give up my nerd card, but civilization is one of those games that always felt more like a job than entertainment to me.

Civ gets way to slow and grindy at the end for my liking. If I make it to the space age, I usually just quit and start a new game.

I played a LOT of Civ IV. More than I'm willing to admit (it's a lot more than what my Steam account says because I had it on disc first). But honestly, Civ V just didn't grab me. I didn't think it was bad, but there was just something about it that didn't have that same appeal.

When it gets grindy for me I hop on the editor and lay down a few gazillion high level tanks, them blitzkrieg the shit out of everyone in one or two turns. I usually completely surround the last civ besides myself and throw everything into learning so I can make it to the stars. The best part is watching the enemy create settlers that just roam the borders looking for a place to break out and finding none.

Civ 1 was the first game I actually stayed up all night playing, back in the day. As in, I looked out the window, saw the sun coming up and said "Uh oh."
