Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

Honestly? If the only complaint they have is "crude language" making it "not fun," I'd say you did something right. It's hardly a reflection on your writing that one person would've rather had a children's book.
Honestly, there's a few things that bother me about the review:

1) It wasn't even her that read it. It was her husband.
2) He only read three pages. That's not even a full chapter.
3) That they still posted a review despite not reading the whole book.[DOUBLEPOST=1491177454,1491177348][/DOUBLEPOST]
What would Dill say?
"Goddamn lousy ingrate didn't even read the whole damn book? Bastard ain't worth your time."

...huh. Might sound weird, but that was me writing that without even thinking. Dill just pulled a Dill.

Fuck it. I'm hitting the treadmill and sweating out this peevishness.

I wouldn't sweat it.

When I buy stuff on Amazon, I check out the negative reviews first, just to see if they have any merit. I'd see a review like this and go "Meh...foul language doesn't offend me. If that's the worst they got to say about it, it's probably fine."

You're crazy. [Chick-Fil-A] may not be better than, say, Chicken Express, but of the national fast food chains, their chicken's power level is maximum.
Buddy, they don't even rank above KFC. Their chicken is dry, semi-flavorless, and tastes like someone ran to GFS, negotiated a contract for all the freezer-burned bags, and then decided to open a business. Their sauce tastes like they get it from the same people who make McDonalds' special sauce, and then just relabel it.

Goddamn Imgur just redid their mobile display and turned it into a horrific shitshow. I can no longer upload/get the image links for here through Safari. I just went through a half-hour of trying to figure out how to post my Supervillainous strips here at full size. Imgur worked so well, but they fucked it up HARD. You can't actually get a direct link on a mobile device anymore!

Is there ANY way to upload my strips directly? If I can't find another image hosting site (or Imgur finds their senses) then I don't know if I can keep posting SV here...:(
Have you tried forcing it to give you the desktop version?

Edit, wait, are you ONLY needing imgur so you can repost the strip HERE without hotlinking from spiderforest?

There IS the "upload a file" button at the bottom right of the post box, next to "post reply." If you use that, then click "full image" on the file once it attaches, it will display it in your post, hosted here.

You're kidding. Seriously?

This isn't true of any Chik Fil A I've ever eaten at. The chicken's always been moist, seasoned, with just a hint of pickle. And the sauce doesn't taste anything like thousand island.

Well, unless they do something different in CA than they do in the rest of the nation (like they do with auto emissions or something), there's really no incentive for me to give 'em another go.

Buddy, everybody does a whole lot of things different in CA, and ain't much of it better.

I assume that's because Chick-Fil-A in the remaining 49 contains chemical(s) known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

I can't sleep.

I have to be up in 5 hours to get ready for the new job that starts tomorrow.

And I can't sleep.

So much for this new fucking job.

I have to be up in 5 hours to start a special project at my existing job, and yet here I am still bumbling about online.
Ouch, my priorities.

Did you actually try going to bed, only to just toss and turn because you're so angry and worked up over your father constantly nagging you about several things about this job over the past week?

Because that'd be uncanny.

No.
I have no doubt if I went to bed, I'd probably go to sleep in plenty of time to wake up and get to work.
But that time would belong to work.
This time belongs to me. And so long as I stay awake, it's still "me" time instead of responsible adult time.

I'm wide awake now because I slept most of the day :(

My new treatment last week left me barfy and and really gross for a few days and it finally caught up with me yesterday (Sunday) and I slept most of the day.

And now I'm wide awake and I could drink gallons of water but not eat.

I need to stay up as late as possible once I get home. Mom's dental appointment in Canonsburg (may as well be Pittsburgh) is at noon on Tuesday, which is usually my bedtime, and I'm the only family member within 200 miles. . Four extractions and doctor says a family member must be present.

Can't say I've ever had a dry Chic-fil-a. I'm not a huge fan of theirs, but dry isn't my complaint. It's just kind of boring. The lemonade is good, though.

So I'm learning more about how this new job works. It's three weeks on, nine days off. And right now, they'll be flying me (and the other guys) out to Vancover area. So lots of travel. It's not working locally like I thought.

But...I mean, I've always wanted to travel more and especially see more of Canada. Ive never been further out west than Toronto. And I guess they'll also fly me elsewhere other than home if I want, say if I want to visit friends in Alberta for the 9 days.

But...I don't know. This is sounding less and less like what I thought it'd be.

Will they be paying to fly you to and from the work site and for your travel expenses on site?
Fully paid expenses. Travel, hotel, etc.[DOUBLEPOST=1491232397,1491232337][/DOUBLEPOST]
Sounds like you'll be doing the fibre splicing for Telus' network. We're months behind schedule right now.
Yeah, the contract is with Telus. I learned that today. The company that hired me is called VistaCare.

I will echo comments already made that this is a pretty sweet opportunity to visit Canada on someone else's dime. Bring a laptop to stave off the boredom off work hours - and take the opportunity to explore while you can.

Just make sure not to get sent into the red area. It's completely overrun by dangerous, hostile creatures who only listen to one they call "the Queen". Not much more is known about them. canada.png

I love to travel! It's the part of my job I'm most looking forward to when I can go back.

A fully paid fly in/fly out job sounds like a lot of fun!
