When I still lived in Colorado, all my friends and I agreed that Coors Original was, hands down, the worst beer. We compared its taste to "chilled, bottled, chapped-ass sweat."

My bartender occasionally offers me a free pint of Coors Light or Bud that has been accidentally poured or not otherwise needed. I turn them down.

I think I'd need to actually be paid to drink that stuff.

Stella, too.

Ain't nothin wrong with Coors Light or Bud, ya beer snob.

(As long as they're cold)

Bud Light is what I drink when I am out and the bar does not have good beer. But it is too sweet.

I like telling my bartender, "My doctor says I need to drink more water. I'll take a Bud Light."

As much as I like the US and being American, all that stuff people generally call "American" beer is just gross. Yeah, that includes Coors Light, Bud Light, etc. even if they're free. That's not to say there aren't some great American beers out there. Those just aren't them.

I love a cold bud light on a hot day. I don't want it to be too heavy.

Though I admit I usually betray my country and order a Blue light if it's available.

So, looking through my house and I can't find a PC power cable for the life of me. But going into closets long untouched for years, I have found some other noteworthy artifacts.

This book is 20 years old you guys.

And this hentai game is even older.

...how can you not have a PC power cable? Those things breed when left alone!

I KNOW

I got a sinking feeling I threw them all out when I was getting rid of stuff a few years ago. But hey, my office at work is still buried in them, it's just annoying to have to go back there to get one.

Hey, @GasBandit. Does A&M or other uni local to you do surplus sales? I got this i7-3770 Optiplex for just $50 at the Pitt surplus store (WVU doesn't do surplus sales to the public :(). Maybe you could upgrade the station network on the cheap and look like even more of a god than usual. :D

Hey, Intel's stagnancy means Ivy Bridge is still competitive with today's Kaby Lake. Even a 3770 is nothing to sneeze at, and for $50, even *I* would probably snap up a couple of them (my kid is still using a Socket 939 AM2 4400+ and Minecraft could really benefit from something a bit more modern).

Heh, I'm trying to get AWAY from XP machines! Maybe I should start putting linux on the older ones. But maaaan that's a lot of woooork.

But that said, I don't actually know if A&M does do surplus sales. I've not heard of one, despite living here almost 18 years now.

The Optiplexes I saw were all Windows 7 machines. If the school has a time limit (i.e. University of Utah sends all PCs to surplus after 5 years, regardless of condition), the XP days are long since over.
