What the hell is a passing period? Is that the time used to change classes? I never heard that term in our high school. We always just called it "you've got 5 minutes to change classes".

Also I was a 90 lb nerd until about 11th grade, so I never went to the bathroom--even peeing--in high or middle school unless I had to. The bullies hung out in there smoking, and would beat the crap out of people like me for no reason whatsoever.

So found out today that my company is a supplier to Blue Bell because they sent an auditing team to our site. They've apparently been doing this with all of their suppliers lately since the salmonella scare.
So the next time you're enjoying a Blue Bell ice cream with almonds in it, take solace in knowing that you could very well be eating my nuts! :p

I'm drawing the creepiest looking Pokemon ever for my son's friend. That's what I get for asking who his favourite one is. Why does no one like Pikachu any more? This one is super odd looking and it kind of looks like I drew him in an anatomically correct fashion. WTF was Pokemon thinking? A fire belt? With flames pointing up right there lol??

Oh it gets better. When Incineroar attacks, his flames come out of... um...

Well, just look:

I love that you guessed exactly who I meant :)

I picked Litten as my starter and I took him out of my party after he evolved into Incineroar. Petting him in the grooming screen was starting to get weird.[DOUBLEPOST=1504757864,1504757652][/DOUBLEPOST]Hahaha! I just watched the video! I took him out of my party pretty quickly. I don't remember seeing that in my game.

My drawing is in the pencil stage right now and I'm too embarrassed to share it because it totally looks like I drew him a giant fire-wiener. Hopefully, in colour, it will look like a belt.

Hopefully.

My first reaction "Ha ha, what an idiot not knowing how to pronounce meme." My second reaction "Shit I've only ever seen that written down - have I been mentally pronouncing it wrong all this time?" My third reaction (after a panicked Google search) "Oh good. I do know how to pronounce meme." This feels like an odd thing to be proud of.

Umm... are you sure you're not over-thinking things a bit? Because the only thing I got out of that video was "the champagne is on me".

I cringe when I hear people say that the English accent is classy.

There's classy English accents, sprinkled around the godawful ones.
Back when Daniel Craig said that he was finished with James Bond. A lot of fans said they thought Jason Statham would make a great 007. I was like, hell no it would be like casting James Varney as John F. Kennedy.

Working on archery is so weird. When I did roller derby, I constantly got better, but it wasn't as "visual" to me. With archery, I can kind of see my progress based on how my shots land. 3 months ago I would have been super excited to get groups like I get now, but now I just get frustrated because my gap is super inconsistent, and even though all of my shots would easily be in the red and gold on a target now, I get mad that I can't figure out which part of my shot is causing the problem. My archery instructor keeps reminding me that for how long I've actually been shooting I'm doing really well.

Slap bracelets recalled because they can wear through their fabric covering, and have cut children....

This is not something from the 80s that needed a remake!
Heh, I remember having a slap bracelet back in the 90s that also wore through its covering, and I did notice that the metal inside was pretty sharp...

... so I threw it away and got a new one. This is not rocket surgery :p

My sister really is a rocket scientist. I laugh every time I see that saying or a variation of it because even though she is super smart, she was never able to program a VCR or use the microwave properly.

Achuwally...

Jim Varney was a well trained actor who died regretting he got typecast as a bumpkin. Apparently he was quite an accomplished stage actor.

I have a couple of those usb power packs sitting around that I picked up from amazon for maybe $5 a couple years ago for my kids. They don't use them so I decided to see if I could power some Halloween props off of them. As a test, I installed a reasonably intense Arduino program onto an Arduino Uno, including a bunch of LEDs powered directly from the GPIO pins and let it go. We're at 18 hours now, and the charge light is still on green. I was just hoping it would last a few hours through Halloween night.

Doing the math... rated for 3200 mAh. Arduino Uno idle current draw is 50 mA (and it's not idle) + 8*20 mA for 8 LEDs = 210 mA, so about 17 hours. The LEDs aren't all always on, so it's probably nearly done.
