Our Blue Heeler/Beagle mix (she's white with black and brown spots and brown ears) had puppies about 6 weeks ago (dad is a German Shepard) - one has ended up being a special needs one as he got injured when he was a couple of weeks old - he hit his head on our floor and it swelled up for a while - we think it happened when he was latched on to eat and she got up - they were on a large fluffy dog bed - we didn't see it happen so we don't know for sure.
His body appears to have taken his energy to heal himself (but so far appears to be at least partially blind in one eye), but he's starting to finally grow - he's still about half of the size of his four other brothers and one of his sisters - he's about 3/4 of the size of the other sister. He just got his teeth recently, but he's still really darn cute - he's going to be the hardest to let go of as we've had to take a lot of extra care with him - though he loves to cuddle.
Here's one with him cuddling up with one of his brothers:
