Regardless, this might be the worst thing I've ever seen. I think he was trying to be a "parody" of over the top fans, but it doesn't really matter. I was almost tempted to post it in the misanthropy thread, but whatever.
It's pretty good overall but totally nails how God damn shitty puberty is. What a nightmare time of life.
Big Mouth looks okay...BUT some of the kid's VAs don't sound like good fits, and I say that knowing all of them are great character actors. John Mulaney as a teenage boy works, but Nick Kroll sounds too old as a teenage boy most of the time-BUT-absolutely NAILS it as the Hormone Monster. Legitimately thought he was Diedrich Bader, good chops there in that regaurd. I get it, Nick is based on Nick, but his normal voice kinda breaks from the illusion. Probably gonna watch more, but the adult voiced children did freak me out.
WELL-add Loud House creator Chris Savino to the list of sexual harassing Hollywood creeps.
Isn't the guy who made Clarence on that list? (And it's the reason they aren't getting another season?)
YUP-but also cos its quality kinda waned in later seasons, or maybe both reasons who knows.

He was, also according to the other writers he never wrote a single episode of the series, presumably only writing the pilot.

Finally watched Bojack Horseman. Why must all the animated shows I like sneak up and kick me in the feels?
Tonight on South Park, I feel legitimately uncomfortable! Not in the cringehumor way either, Heiman is getting Harley Quinn and Joker levels of abusive. I mean it works in a dramatic sense I guess but...still, it feels weird.
Having heard many good things about it, and having been a fan of Monty Oum for a while, I've been meaning to check out RWBY. Over the last couple of days, I've finally started watching it.
"Oh, a nice fight to start the series, that's interesting..."
"Character exposition..."
"More character exposition, punctuated by some brief action..."
"Are we gonna get to a fight soon? I mean, these characters are interesting, definitely, but I hope we get some action soon..."
And then that fight in Episode 8 happens.
"HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE BEST SERIES EVAR!!!!!"
"Oh, a nice fight to start the series, that's interesting..."

Oh yeah season one has a QUITE a bit of exposition, but it gets better every season both writing and animation wise. Still love season one, but its a DEFINITE indie project.
This season of Star vs. the Forces of Evil is getting RAW with its racism metaphors, at one point the Mewni knights(cops) were about to arrest a bunch of innocent monsters calling them "hooligans". That was...that real. That ridiculously real.

On the ONE HAND I'm annoyed the dumb ass article writer claims Harley Quinn is a break-out character because of that stupid Suicide Squad movie and not.....the cartoon she premiered in TWENTY FIVE years ago-BUT ON THE OTHER HAND-I spyeth Kiteman in that promo art. KITE MAN, HELL YEAH!
