My family is old friends with this other family. The daughter of the other family posted a picture of her hand yesterday on Facebook, with a big diamond ring, and a message along the lines of "I said yes."
I told my dad, "Hey, Cathy got engaged today."
My dad said, "Oh that's great, I'll send her father Mr. Chang my congratulations."
"Hey Mr. Chang, congrats on Cathy getting engaged."
"SHE DID WHAT???"
