I had a real-world version of this happen to me the other night. I have a friend who coincidentally knew another long-time friend of mine. So I brought up this OTHER, THIRD person, and started describing them, and she interrupts with infinite contempt, saying, "Yeah, I know. We sponsored a charity event with him." Like, Jesus, sorry I was sharing a story about someone you know.
