Nate Silver: "Steve King now down 5 points with more than 50 percent reporting. The Upshot still says the race leans his way, but I’m not sure I buy that."

Where the hell are you guys seeing this?!? The numbers in Null's post are WAY below what I'm seeing on my screens.

King - 119,231
Scholten - 101,757

I just saw a report on RollCall that Mazie Hirono has been reelected here. The polls just closed at 6pm local time (42 minutes ago). They haven't released the first printout yet. She is projected to win, but to say she has won is jumping the gun a little.

Trying to sleep through this was like sleeping on some twisted Christmas Eve, but I managed.

Without Senate control, I'm guessing no impeachment. This is going to be a rough fight in 2020. The Democrats need an absolutely electric presidential candidate while the Republican Senator seats up for grab need competent challengers for every state.

I'm glad Democrats have the House. Now they need to lock it down for the next two years like with Bush.

The bloodletting can stop to an extent. Healthcare and rich person tax cuts are safe. This was on the whole, a good midterms. Could've been better, but good nonetheless.

Let's go for 2020. Now that he's free, I'm sure we'll be seeing from Beto.

Yeah, Georgians should be in the streets right now plugging the whole thing up.

That's some of the most corrupt shit I've ever read. Russia has more credible elections.

Also, Scott Walker refuses to concede and is trying to throw out the votes that would lose him the race.

Same thing Wisconsinites, fuck shit up.

No one expects him to act with dignity. He never has before, why start now?

I swear, republican politicians are more petulant than they used to be.

This morning is the first time in a loooooooooong time that I've been prouder to admit that I spent time growing up in Alabama - where at least we refuse to elect the pedophile that the Republican party foists off on us - than to admit that I was born in Iowa - where we keep our elected Nazis in office.

While Beto didn't win, we still saw a lot of flipped house seats including my county of Williamson, which has always been heavily conservative. Yes I would have loved Beto to have won, and it was damn close, but some of us are doing the best we can.

Seriously though, Beto got damn close. DAMN close. Especially given that Texas hasn't had a democrat senator in 30 years.
