I don't have time to finish Half Life 2. I'm still trying to get through Astral Chain on the switch. I have a library of at least 100 games now on my PC (mostly free or Humble Bundle stuff). Still, at my recommendation both of my kids started playing Bioshock on the Xbox 360, and for the life of me I want to buy the PC collection on sale right now and replay all of them.
How far have you gotten in HL2? Because there's a couple of chapters at the end that I consider one of my favorite gaming experiences, ever.
Quite a ways, and I'm definitely going to finish.
I see various YouTube gaming channels have experts come on to criticize or poke fun at games. Which I find really interesting. Real detectives discussing LA Noire. Martial artists discussing Mortal Kombat

Hey Square, I know you're in the remaking mood. Instead of tackling an 80 hour world spanning 50 dungeon madness undertaking of Final Fantasy 7, how about Parasite Eve? Honestly, I wish Square was Capcom right now. Capcom fucking rules right now and the company has been firing on all cylinders. The RE-makes have been amazing thus far and RE3-make looks killer.

I wish KONAMI was more like Capcom, dammit. But that'll never happen.
So, I recently got my tax return, which was...let's say handsomer than I expected. With a friend's help, I ordered a bunch of new PC parts to upgrade my rig in preparation for Cyberpunk. I'm pretty stoked.
From what I understand, it'll be powerful enough for ray tracing. Which is super cool. Before Cyberpunk comes out, I'll probably replay some more recent AAA games like Arkham Knight and Witcher 3 to see how they look on higher (highest?) settings.

I'm going to transfer my current 2 TB HDD over to the new tower. That's where I keep pretty much all my games, programs, and "legally obtained" stuff already. I only use my current SSD for Windows, really. Considering getting a second internal HDD, actually.

I would butcher a whole cow (wait, I know how to do that and that's what I honestly wish I was doing now)...I would NOT butcher a whole cow for a real crunchy Star Trek RPG/Adventure game where you're rewarded for doing the whole moralizing goodie goodie thing and avoiding conflict. Star Trek Online is literally 99% blowing shit up and shooting shit with your silly oversized phaser gatling guns and shit. I mean something like that excellent PC TNG game from the 90s or those amazing TOS adventure games from the early 90s.

They were really damn good. Especially appreciated how they got the show actors to voice their characters in A Final Unity. That may be common these days, but back in the 90s that was a huge thing.
I have to admit though, I flew into the neutral zone on purpose all the time (on both of them) just to have an excuse to shoot stuff.
Yeah, both TOS games are rad (getting red shirts killed was a joy and hilarious) and A Final Unity is about as faithful a game can be as an adaptation. I just want like a chunkier RPG, doing your own thing in the world of Star Trek. Like something as detailed as The Witcher 3, but Star Trek and spacey and shit.

I played that too. That sure was a game. The battle theme slapped hard. I remember reading every single entry in the computer database in that one. It actually bothered me that the Ferengi homeworld was called Ferenganar in DS9 and Ferengal like it was in the database entry in the SNES game.
The entire soundtrack is weird funky jazz. It's bizarre.
This far in the future, I don't remember the plot, I don't remember the gameplay (aside from "Include Cmdr Data in every mission or suffer"), but yeah I remember the funky music.
