Funny Pictures Thread. It begins again

I keep seeing the term "Isekai'd" and I have no clue what it means. Some anime bullshit or something?
It's a genre of anime where a person, usually from modern times, is transported into a fantasy setting or into the past.

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is one of the earliest examples because Mark Twain was into some weeb shit

Yeah, what Poe said. Isekai is literally translated as "another world." It's most frequently used as he describes, but it can also be just to a parallel or alternate dimension. Technically Alice in Wonderland can be considered "isekai," as could The Wizard of Oz and The Chronicles of Narnia.

In anime context though, "getting isekai'd" is what happens to the protagonist to send them from their home to wherever the story takes place, and 9 times out of 10 it's to a fantasy sword-and-sorcery world. (And half the time it seems getting isekai'd happens by way of getting hit by a truck and being reincarnated in the alternate world)

The protagonist usually, though not always, is also given some kind of unfair advantage as part of the process. Usually beyond mary-sue levels of power.

Mine would definitely be sorcerous farting.

The new trend is overworking one's self to death or at least it is this season. Truck-kun was kinder.

My favorite will always be Konosuba, where Kazuma gets isekai'd by trying to save a girl from being hit by a truck that wasn't actually a truck at all (it was a farm tractor) and wasn't going to hit her in the first place (being a farm tractor, it was going maybe 2mph), and ended up shoving the girl into the ditch for no reason and then having a heart attack and pissing himself as he died because he thought he was about to be hit by the same "truck."

"...those aren't tacos!"

I can't quite make out what it says on the palm side of the knucks, but it almost looks like "Jesus A Thot."
