I love when they play with the expectations of rpgs vs what the reality of a situation would be. Though to be fair this world complies with rpg expectations more often than not.
Red Cloak’s whole plan is to correct a big one when it comes to how Goblins are treated.

I appreciate that he’s grown as a character more than most of them. He’s died, come back, and found ways to motivate and make use of all of his team over the years. With Belkar especially he’s been more than willing to hear him out and trust him more, especially via Durkacula incident. He even got confirmation long ago that his influence has severely hampered Belkar’s evil, where without him he’d have probably gone on an unstoppable killing spree.
That and the knowledge that Belkar is not long for this world.
Plus that stab did what? Hurt him for 1d6 damage? Roy’s fine.

I’m reminded of that each morning. He did fail to kill a toad he brought in last week, left it alive in the bathroom, wife saw it and thought it was dead, but when she came to tell me and for me to get it out of the house it had hopped off into our bedroom where I eventually found it.
