New Picture Thread

For Dill and my 10th anniversary next year, we decided that we wanted to have a vow renewal. But also, since we have both come out in the intervening time, them as NB and me as Trans, we decided to have kindof a redo of our ceremony. And I get to be the bride this time!

Yesterday, my sister came over from Georgia and we went dress shopping! I tried on 10 or so dresses, here are my top 4:

Dress 1:

Dress 2:

Dress 3:
Dress 3

Dress 4:

Dress 4 wound up being the winner, with 3 a close second. Putting the veil on me made me cry, but it was a happy cry.

They are all lovely! It makes me miss wedding dress shopping. Also, the veil!

Based purely on those pictures, if you'd put it to a forum vote, I'd have gone for 2, with 4 a close second. But, hey, you're not dressing to impress a random Belgian dude; you look great in all and I'm sure you'll be a stunner the day itself and the most important two people will love both the dress and taking it off :D

Well, dress 1 & 2 with the sleeves were a bit itchy. Plus, the ceremony is going to be in Savannah, GA, next June. Inside, but still.

The final dress also had POCKETS! @Celt Z will know how amazing that is!

Look, I'll tell you what. If I ever get married, I'll try on a bunch of wedding dresses and you can pick out the right one that suits your random Belgian interests.

When my wife was trying on wedding dresses, I went along and gave my opinions, though my opinions were mainly in the realm of "that looks fine," "yeah it's good," "looks great," "I think I like it," etc. I could tell my wife was getting a bit annoyed with my lack of useful feedback and opinions. So she asked me to pick one out and she'd try it on. So I picked one (a dress I genuinely thought looked good and interesting) and she put it on, and it turned out was the most utterly horrendous dress possible. Like, it didn't look nearly so bad on the rack, but when she put it on she looked like something out of an 80s B-movie titled "A Scary Bride Who Goes Around Stabbing People."

After that we both accepted that I do not have sufficient taste to be able to offer any substantive feedback on her dress shopping, so she allowed me to just go back to giving meaningless platitudes. "I think that one's fine," "I like it about the same as the last one," "looks quite nice."

Waitaminute, she's standing up already? Already???

Next thing you know she'll be heading off to school, then going to prom, then getting married, then having kids of her own...
