Limewire = Gen X
Sonic (as meme) = Milennials
Dabbing = Gen Z

Millennials start in 1981. Limewire came out in 2000. More of it's users were Millenials than Gen Xers. Napster would be more Gen X.

Dabbing, as we know it, is attributed to Skippa da Flippa and Migos, and a lot of it's mainstream popularity can be attributed to Cam Newton. Gen Zs were picking it up because Millennials were doing it.

Dates and stuff
Yes, I looked up those dates and origins before I made my post, too. My assumption was that M's learned LW from X, but I also assume the borders between these memes are just as dithered as the divisions between generations.

I seem to recall a lot of those file-sharing programs overlapped in the late 90s and early naughts, didn't they? Limewire, Napster, Kazaa (Lite), etc. It wasn't until BitTorrent came about that everyone sort of agreed that this would be the file-sharing protocol of choice in the future.
