Abso-fucking-lutely not. There is no need for a “live action” remake. IF, and I do mean IF, you’re going to remake a movie you had better choose one that is either A) terrible, so you can make it better, or B) something that has aged so much it no longer connects with a modern audience.
How to Train Your Dragon is neither. Plain and simple.
I fucking hate it.

But surely there's MORE MONEY to be squeezed from this Intellectual Property with little to no effort?! Can't you see??
Not to mention how much longer this means we can claim ownership of said IP.

I’d say we have a few years before they live action this and the last one, so I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts.
A lot of furry artist will take overtime just thanks to that trailer alone.
As of currently, and possibly ever, the only live action remake I want to see.
I would also see ones for the following: Emperor’s New Groove, Treasure Planet, and Atlantis.
I agree with Treasure Planet and Atlantis. Those can easily work in live action. But I'm not so sure about New Groove. That one is a bit more "cartoony" than the other two.
I think I’d just love to see how they try to capture the manic nature of that movie and animation. And if not for that, then at least to see whomever they cast as Yzma yelling “…and smash it with a hammer!”
Yeah but she’s not even on screen for the best half of that…
Even in a remake you should make some scenes different, and this would be a perfect opportunity to do one.
