I don’t think that anyone said it was a rural area. I only said it was about 30 miles from the city Tin lives in.West Loop 281 is basically in the middle of my old neighborhood. It is a pretty built up area. Not remotely rural.
I am adding context because I have lived there. Just letting people know that it is odd to have a mountain lion miles deep into a town of 81,000 people.I don’t think that anyone said it was a rural area. I only said it was about 30 miles from the city Tin lives in.
Yeah, kinda surprised me where it was. I’ve driven through there many times.I am adding context because I have lived there. Just letting people know that it is odd to have a mountain lion miles deep into a town of 81,000 people.
*Looked at the block in question, there is a bit of forest about a mile from the road.
Longview is where my older sister was born.True story, a Longview, Texas police officer hit a mountain lion while on patrol. This is in eastern north Texas about 30 miles from the city Tin is in.

...allegedly.
Oh, they passed by @GasBandit 's house!Debating whether this falls under "Funny Pictures" or "Not-So-Funny Pictures", but chose here because they aren't real, so...
I mean, we did recently manage to make it through another November, sooo...this might only be funny to me and @PatrThom but I'm posting it anyway
"Girl dinner", indeed.
That upper picture reminds me of my last trip to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge.
… offer to help her with her English essay because you’re an English teacher, ask her to wash her own dish she just ate off of, ask her to feed the cat she promised she would take care of all by herself, try to help her study for her history class because you’re also a history teacher, ask how her day was, say you’re excited to see her play in a volleyball tournament that she just said she’s excited for, say that you actually do like her boyfriend and think he’s nice, offer to give her a ride to her friend’s house, ask her to put on a jacket when it’s in the high 30’s outside…
That last one about a jacket always set me on edge. I don’t feel the cold like you do mom. I wear shorts when the temps are in the teens Fahrenheit, I’m fine the way I chose to dress.… offer to help her with her English essay because you’re an English teacher, ask her to wash her own dish she just ate off of, ask her to feed the cat she promised she would take care of all by herself, try to help her study for her history class because you’re also a history teacher, ask how her day was, say you’re excited to see her play in a volleyball tournament that she just said she’s excited for, say that you actually do like her boyfriend and think he’s nice, offer to give her a ride to her friend’s house, ask her to put on a jacket when it’s in the high 30’s outside…
(Sorry, this shit triggered me a bit.)
Reminds me of how in a costco parking lot I saw a college student outside in a strappy crop-top (naturally with one strap dangling loose off her shoulder) and leggings with a zip-up-hoodie pulled all the way down her back and arms so far it was basically just a cloth chain between her wrists, that looped behind her thighs. She stood there shivering in the 38 degree texas winter, rubbing her bare arms with her hands, huddling with no shelter from the wind, not a single thought about finishing putting on the clothes she was half-attempting to wear. Because cold be damned, a 19y/o's fuckability must be broadcast on loop at all times, right? That last one about a jacket always set me on edge. I don’t feel the cold like you do mom.
