Point of order! The elites did try something. They explicitly did their best to chop up the fascists with lightsabers.

Granted, it didn't work, so they did have to go into hiding and wait until the next generation grew up to try their hand at lightsaber chopping.

It's not even a "graph taken from" the article. Somebody else made the graph based on a paragraph in Appendix A: Demographics, which describes the participants of this particular study "A survey of expert views on misinformation". The authors describe in Methods how they specifically surveyed academic experts on misinformation. Appendix A doesn't say anything about the political leanings of all fact checkers everywhere.

I don't know whether to laugh at the meta humor of this post, or cry at just how much people don't understand (or deliberately misinterpret) basic science.
