Yeah not wanting our president to fully support an active genocide is a huge fucking ask.
Such a big ask that Trump managed to accomplish in weeks what Biden lied about and claimed he was working for over a year.
I'm sorry, are your claiming "let's forcibly move 2 million people out of their indigenous area and force them into countries that don't want them to starve and die in refugee camps" - an atrocity not unlike some of the things the USA did to native Americans, mind - backed by the threat of legal complete genocide is a better solution than trying to negotiate?

If you didn't vote against Trump, you're on the hook for all his actions. Wouldn't you have liked the luxury of only being on the hook for someone, ANYONE else... Or at least be able to say that you voted against THIS.
I’ve lived in three Middle Eastern countries. I know that the war in Gaza is a deeply emotional issue for Arab-American voters. American progressives have built up Palestinians as the ultimate “little guy” to stick up for. Legitimate criticism of the Israeli government can easily turn into outright antisemitic violence like we saw at the soccer match in the Netherlands. Nothing about this situation is simple.
Trump and his base vastly oversimplify it and will enable the worst impulses of Netanyahu’s government. That's why I was astounded by the gluten-free student protesters who abstained or voted for Stein or even Trump as a spiteful protest vote. Biden/Harris at least tried to curb the violence. Trump will flood Israel with more munitions, and his underlings are trying to make it impossible to protest that.
PS - I saw a photo of one of those protest kids waving a sign that read "Palestinian rights are trans rights." I almost spat out my drink. Anyone who has spent two seconds in the Middle East would tell you that LGBT folks aren't tolerated there. At least Israel offers legal protection to them, although they are culturally stigmatized. While Israel is relatively liberal compared to the rest of the Middle East, Israelis are still Middle Eastern.

2. No it doesn't make me feel any fucking better that I voted for a person who fully supported a genocide. Especially since I have no doubts whatso ever that if Kamala had won there wouldn't even be the temporary ceasefire that we have now. Which as temporary as it is still means at least there are some days where children aren't getting blown up by Israel.

I am getting the feeling that Dubs will not accept anything less than the engineering of a total cessation of middle eastern hostilities as "a successful negotiation." Perhaps if America had only asked more nicely, and possibly elected Mel Brooks as President, then they would have stopped fighting? Forgive me on this, but I don't believe the leader of any other nation is going to be able to tell Israel what to do without marching in there and taking total control of Israel first, and I do not see that going well for anybody.

The number of Palestinians that have died in this genocide isn’t a random number though. If you want a serious discussion maybe dont reduce what Biden has done in this conflict to 10.
