GOG.com is giving away Vambrace: Cold Soul a 2019 game that seems to be inspired by Darkest Dungeon.

Epic is still having daily giveaways, and today's is Sifu. I'm not sure how many days are left.

EDIT: added today's Epic giveaway.

Just a heads up, I had my eye on this one during development, and apparently it was a big disappointment when it came out. General consensus is it falls far short of DD in every way except for art. Could be why it's on sale for $2.50 now. But hey... free game is free game, right?

January Prime Gaming Blog post is up. There's a few good games, but not much high value. Notable titles include:
  • Bioshock 2 Remastered [GOG]
  • GRIP [GOG] Jan 16
  • SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech [GOG] Jan 16
  • Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition [GOG] Jan 23
  • Super Meat Boy Forever [Epic] Jan 30
There are 16 total games this month, across GOG, Epic, and the Amazon app, but I didn't recognize most of them.

Yeah, it's a pretty stacked month. For folks that actually USE Epic Game Store, Hardspace: Shipbreaker is fantastic and deserves a sequel.

I don't know anything about most of these, and some I've never even heard of before, but there are some stand out titles. I adored "Little Kitty, Big City" and I've seen someone streaming "Pesticide Not Required", which looks like a fun blend of farm sim and bullet heaven (aka Vampire Survivors-like). "Thank Goodness You're Here!" has excellent reviews, as does "Toem".

Seriously, how does a digital game bundle sell out? Its just codes!
Third-party game stores run out of keys all the time. In this instance, the publishers likely donated a specific amount of keys as a charitable contribution / tax write-off, and once those keys were gone the bundle was over.

I don't know how authorized key sellers work in other cases, though; if they buy a set amount of keys and then resell them, or if they're more of a consignment system, or what.
