Here is something really random.

I just looked down at my arm and noticed a white arm hair. It's just sitting there next to all my other arm hairs but it was longer than the rest and it was white.

Why are you referring to it in past tense?
WHAT DID YOU DO

Did you pull it out? Oh God why would you do that it hurts so bad.

Speaking of which don't ever let someone pull facial hair. It's like getting punched in the balls.

Well done, NR! :) Knew you could do it! Congratulations on your hard work; I know it's been rough.
Thanks, CG... I'm still working though, decided to take a last minute check-up and make sure I'm not making a complete ass of myself. But if all goes well, I should be printing this puppy in a matter of hours.

Just wait until you find your first 2 inch long, white hair growing from your eyebrows. Or ear or shoulder or ... down there...

Conga rats!

About time, you slacker! ^.~[/QUOTE]

Ditto.

Now get a hair cut and get a real job.

But is it printed out or not?! I've been waiting all day for the final announcement to say "Congratulations!" and maybe some other words I would improvise!

For the last few years I've resolved to read 50 books in a single year. I've never really come close, but I feel like it's a pretty good carrot to chase. It's driven me to read a lot more, that's for sure.

Now I am considering incorporating The BBC's The Big Read list of the UK's favorite 200 books into my reading goals. Originally I thought "read the whole list by 2015, but that means roughly 40 books a year (I've already read several of them). That's a bit too much, and won't leave much room for other non-list reading. I think what I might settle on is to have read the whole list before I turn 30, which gives me an average of 20ish books per year, which is pretty much doable.

I HAVE been very seriously considering getting an e-reader, but I'm worried about a few things. First, I'm a very tactile person, so I fear I might miss the feel of paper and the turning of pages. Also, there's just something nice about browsing through a bookstore, versus amazon.

But considering that I've been trying to get rid of many of my possessions (books included), the notion that I can take a library's worth with me wherever I go is an attractive thing.

Oh, I don't use an e-reader...total waste of money, I think.

I get PDF or RTF format ebooks, for the most part and read them at my desk. If you like Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Baen books has some awesome subscription models (or even good prices on single books).

The roads will be empty here at 3 when the Saints start playing. Even I'm holding my breath, and I don't like football.

In the series The Legacy of the Aldenata usually the Grat get the Abat, but sometimes the Abat get the Grat.

So true, so true.

It's NUTS here, even in the suburbs. Outside, people are yelling, and fireworks are popping all around.

Yeah, it is nuts! My dad got to go there, and he had a ball. My cousin took her 4 year old son so that he could witness history!

Got a text from a buddy this weekend that read "mermaids and unicorns. fuck diet soda." He only barely remembers sending it and apparently thought it was hilarious and insightful at the time.

Man, I wish she didn't take attendance. I would have done the same. What are you doing with your free time?

Actual conversation in here:

Prof: Why do you say you're not coordinated?

Student: Well I can't... like... catch balls and stuff.

Prof: Well maybe you just don't have enough ball experience. You're probably coordinated in other things. You just need more ball experience.

Ball experience is the term of the day.
