If you guys can give me a time, I'll see if I can make it. I never seem to be around when the rest of you are.Less competition for me then!
Let's get a 4 player expert game going tonight Shegs?
Especially on expert. Isn't it like 5-10 common infected hits and your dead? It's far more difficult compared to the first one. It's incredible how quickly the SI can FUBAR the survivors within a few seconds.
Yup. The infected DO combo you a lot and they do it well. The spitter will always seem to spawn if you "bunker" down in an area after a rush attack.Witches don't sit stationary for you to pass by easily, the new special infected can "combo" you (Jockey walks you into a spitter/hunter/charger/smoker), tactics like buckling down for a horde are impossible thanks to new special infected (Charger slams into the corner/Spitter spits a goo puddle in your area), and the Expert Tanks take around 5-7 full clips of a fully loaded Assault rifle to bring down. I'm just scratching the surface here.
Fire that gets stronger the more you stand in it. It is MUCH deadlier that fire.Excellent, I can develop new and interesting ways of killing things. I can see the spitter being an issue, but the Charger never seemed like much of a threat, unless he decided to spawn two feet away from you. I just treated the spitter's globs like fire.
Yea. L4D2 tactics differ from L4D1 due to new infected and weapons I have to agree with the troll that you should get the game and try it out.Really, Deschain, play L4D2 before you come up with schemes. It's much, much harder than you think it is.
Chainsaw + Witch = fun I did that it was awesome.L4D2 is heads and tails harder because almost none of the strategies from the old game work anymore (except crowning the witch). However, some of the new ones are a lot more fun.
We were getting very impatient near the end, pushing ahead recklessly. Of course, near the beginning we were wandering all over the map, often much too far apart from each other. I don't know what was up, we were playing very differently than I'd come to expect (other than bungling the crescendo.)So yeah... this night's session? Disastrous. The damn rolling crescendo kept getting us, and that's when the Tank didn't. We just couldn't get our shit together... I think we need more practice as a team before we can even think about trying Expert.
The Magnum is really only good for Common Infected, as it has a special effect to always kill them in one shot. Against Special Infected, your going to need to switch to something else... and since your generally only going to be fighting one SI at a time, there really isn't any reason not to use an Automatic or a Rifle instead of a shotgun. If your up close, you want an AK. If your at Medium to Long Range, you want a Combat Rifle. If your on the move a lot (like during VS or Scavenge) the M16 or Desert Rifle are good choices.I think autoshotgun is better than combat shotgun now. I thought the tighter cone would be cool , but it just leaves incomplete kills. Magnum seems to be taking over for shotgun tbh....
