What are you listening to II: Electric Bogaloo

I've just recently discovered the Ravonettes... so far this song, off their new album, is one of my favorite songs by them.

Edit:
The song ends around the 3:10 mark, after that it's a nothing but silence. I have no idea as to why though.

Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel.

Peaceful song after a long day of dealing with idiots at college... Just because 1/3 of the group is fixated on an idiotic idea does not give it any more weight than a stupid idea deserves.

(Fake global summit sort of thing, group thinks that Guatemala can singlehandedly end all the world's problems.)

Two new Jerry Reed albums, the Essetial Jerry Reed, and Jerry Reed explores guitar country.

Recently FINALLY found More Specials and Blue Plate Specials, and have been on a Specials high for days now. My Specials discography is very nearly complete.

Art Brut is pretty rad and fun to listen to... despite the fact the singer doesn't really 'Sing' so much as speak the lyrics. (On the very rare occasions he actually tries to carry a tune you understand why he doesn't do it more often.)

Love that song.

Course of Empire- The Information

I caught this on the Dark City soundtrack as one of the tracks "inspired by the movie". Still really dig it.

It's easier not to be wise
And measure these things by your brain
I sank into Eden with you
Alone in the church by and by

I'll read to you here, save your eyes
You'll need them, your boat is at sea
Your anchor is up, you've been swept away
And the greatest of teachers won't hesitate
To leave you there, by yourself, chained to fate

I alone love you; I alone tempt you; I alone love you
Fear is not the end of this!
I alone love you; I alone tempt you; I alone love you

It's easier not to be great
And measure these things by your eyes
We long to be here by his resolve
Alone in the church by and by
To cradle the baby in space
and leave you there by yourself chained to fate

I alone love you; I alone tempt you; I alone love you
Fear is not the end of this!
I alone love you; I alone tempt you; I alone love you

Oh, now, we took it back too far
Only love can save us now
All these riddles that you burn
All come runnin' back to you
All these rhythms that you hide
Only love can save us now
All these riddles that you burn yeah, yeah, yeah

I alone love you; I alone tempt you; I alone love you
Fear is not the end of this!
I alone love you; I alone tempt you; I alone love you
