It's the alternate ending to Clerks. Smith originally planned to have Dante get shot and killed.

wait, am I not using Dr Zoidberg right? I mean, he's supposed to indicate an obvious, not entirely intelligent comment, right? Cause if so, your eyeroll is rather redundant, babe.

You would be amazed how many people refused to beleive there was an alternate ending (and how hard it was to prove before the days of Youtube).[/QUOTE]

Huh. While that would've been in keeping with the grittiness of the movie, it would've felt out of place with the lightheartedness. It would've left that weird philosophical floaty feeling, since the kinds of people who watch Clerks tend to identify with Randall and Dante. That could've been good. Tough to say.

I think he dropped it because of just that. It felt too dark and depressing for a guy who had really been shit on the entire movie.

Uhh...it's blck and white. Otherwise, all the good ones are taken. Yeah, not comedy, at all, and macabre...Well, somewhat, I'd have to say.

I always forget that the Joker was more or less lifted straight from that movie. Physically anyway.
