Probably lentils. I got tired of them after living on em this semester, but now I want them again. Oh, lentils. You were there all along, and I almost missed you because you were wearing glasses and a ponytail.
night before last - homemade egg rolls and sauteed brussels sprouts with black bean garlic sauce.
last night - leftover egg rolls and brussels sprouts
tonight - yankee style pot roast and roasted potatoes w/ side salad.
Having some very boring chicken and sausage gumbo with Jake's uncle and aunt. They're nice people, but their gumbo is bland. I load it down with Tabasco and file when they're not looking.
Spaghetti with my mother's own recipe for red sauce. Salad and fresh, warm bread to go along with it. It's a traditional meal in our house for Xmas Eve.
What I've eaten on every meal in the past four days:
- Christmas ham
- Meatballs
- Homemade cheese
- Liver casserole (with cranberry sauce)
- Smoked fish
On. Every. Damn. Meal.
No wonder I've been running to the crapper all day today, now that I'm back home. My stomach's in a state of shock now that I'm not eating Xmas food all the time.
I have no clue. I need to buy groceries and the chicken breast tenders I had planned to use tonight didn't completely thaw. Sounds like it's going to be either spaghetti or take out. I am not too happy about either one.
The fella bought me dinner. Delicious chicken burrito with mounds of pico de gallo, pinto beans, and rice. No cheese, though... I'm axing any whole milk or even part skim dairy for a while. Still veryl good, though. There's more than half leftover, so I've got lunch tomorrow too!
Feelin' lazy. Plus, it's Twelfth Night so all the grocery stores are closed. So today it's gonna be either pea soup out of a can or spinach soup with hard-boiled eggs.
