Julie's D and D Game!

Well the other option bouncing around in my noodle was a Goliath Earthstrength Warden, who often confuses people smaller than elves with food.

But I like Naciens as well, just don't be surprised when he takes you up on your offer to carry him around.

Do whatever makes you happy. We'll welcome your abomin--character.

Might edit my stats a little and possibly change my daily, since we have a couple weeks until Julie's next game and my new character hasn't been in combat. I have a feeling I'll be using Commanding Strike a lot, especially in this battle since we're in such a good position for it, so I want to be sure I can give an extra edge to whoever obey's Jaes's ordering around.

Hey what is our experience supposed to be at right now?

Also, who is excited to break outta prison!? I AM!

I should have my character finalized by Sunday at the latest. Is there any preferred method for macros in Gametable required?

Just make sure it'll make sense to anyone who sees it; i.e. name, differentiate attack and damage roll, what type of defense it hits, and any special stuff (and probably whether it's an encounter or daily).

Mine are typically like

ENCOUNTER: Twin Thunders (fortitude)
ENCOUNTER: Twin Thunders Damage (thunder)(+ secondary damage)

or like

AT WILL: Crane's Wings (reflex)
AT WILL: Crane's Wings Damage (push 1)

or even the fabled

SKILL: Athletics (+5 if jumping, Crane's Wings)

I usually put a number at the end of the name, 1, 2, so I don't have to think of their order; attack roll will always be on top, damage on bottom.

My list is all sorted out like

ATTRIBUTE
ATTACK (for ranged/melee basics)
AT WILL
DAILY
ENCOUNTER
EXTRA DAMAGE (for crits with magic weapons/implements, Centered Flurry of Blows in the case of my monk)
INITIATIVE
SKILL

Yeah, I will do that eventually...

(oh crap, I only have until Thursday to finalize these stats and daily, and that one encounter power, yeesh...)

Who has a higher basic melee attack roll bonus, Kara or weaponless Ezekiel? Depending on whose is higher will depend on who gets to shift when I roll initiative (thanks to my Warlord power). I'll be using Commanding Strike a bit, giving one of you near the same enemy as me the chance to get in extra hits.

Also, unless we take down the ones at the door swiftly, we made need Simkin over for some halfling thievery. I'm hoping we can grab the key and toss it to the nearby cell, and they can toss it to another, and we can get a full riot going, surrounding the guards.

+6 Unarmed, 1d4+6

I assume I'm technically unarmed, since we were treating me as having a maul and "pretending" I didn't, so up to the DM. I don't like trying to take advantage of the whole twisting the rules thing too much.

I thought strength affected the damage roll, not the attack roll, Gusto.

I figured we'd be treating it like you lost that section of yourself or something, Doom.

For melee basics, it's always STR vs. AC. There are feats that allow you to change it to any other stat (I could take the INT version and becoming a proficient melee basic attacker with Errik!), and I might take the DEX one if it becomes apparent I'll need to make a lot of melee basics, we'll see.

The Simkin can try to stab these drow with his bootstrap knife for +11.

Still looking for more pictures for the group or character concepts. Don't miss out!

Reaaally? Well, maybe Jaes will be giving you the initiative shift to get over here, and then bark orders at Simkin.

Still, stealing key = good.

It's a 3-day weekend, so I'll see what I can do as far as time to draw. I'm sure I can find some, just not sure how good it will come out.

Maybe Simkin will come, maybe he won't. AH THE SUSPENSE OF IT ALL.

Well I got NOTHING for Jaes and the other Gnome guy. I may have to resort on Googleimages or Deviant. It may look disgusting.

It's a commanding strike. You must take advantage. It is the Simkin way to take advantage!

I'll draw something for Jaes, and probably something else. I know nothing about HC's character to base an interpretation from.

How's this for you, Jay?

Jaes

The tentacled monster from that one square place when we were chasing Serial, fighting Deschain, Kara, and Simkin.

Looks good, I took them both. Gimmie more details about your character's race/class, that info escapes me ATM,.

Jaes, Eladrin, he's a hybrid Warlord/Cleric.

Warlords have some awesome as hell dailies. Each time I feel I have the right one, I see another that looks shiny.

There's one that lets me attack an enemy, and then two allies can attack two other enemies. There's one that lets me pull an enemy to me, and then three allies can charge it. There's one that I make an attack, and then all allies within 5 squares of me gain +3 to their attack rolls until the end of the encounter. It's so hard to choose. Some things make good openers, others make good finishers.

That's Warlord and multiclass Cleric right?

Just need HC's stuff now.

Thursday can't come soon enough, I R WANT TO STAB.

I thought multiclass was what you called the feat and Hybrid was what you called the class choice. If we wanna talk feats, I'm multiclassed Bard also :p.

A little somethin' somethin' I threw together.

Kara's new design, also on my deviantArt.

Bear in mind that currently, in prison, she no longer has her holy symbol or probably her sash.

Eventually I hope to have a series of simple sketches wherein Kara is demonstrating a couple of her techniques, if only to draw people doing ANYTHING but standing...

That's a cool outfit, Gusto. I'll incorporate that in any future Kara drawings I do, since obviously she's not wearing anything that nifty in my drawing. Though she is clutching a tentacle. Oh yeah!

I took Deschain off of the pic from early in the thread. I don't know why, but when I got to Simkin all I could think of was miniature Assassin's Creed.
